  1. Unlike a true veranda or balcony, it is just a room with a different type of flooring and a large window that opens. Cruisers will no longer have the ability to sit under the balcony overhang and enjoy the outdoors during a gentle rain the windows will close automatically.
  2. Will you be sightseeing with your luggage?
  3. Of the more than 3 dozen cruises to the Caribbean we have taken, almost all were in the months of January, and February. Remember Spring forward and Fall back ? We are even Steven with Bermuda NOW but in the Fall we will set our clocks BACK one hour, This is when in order to get Bermuda port time we have to set our clocks forward an hour. Thought I was entering the Twilight Zone for a while.
  4. could depend on whether it is eastern standard or daylight savings time. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compasses/vision-of-the-seas/fri-02172023-0000 Check out Cruise Compass for days 3 and 9

  6. During your stay in a port the ship will change to PORT TIME.
  7. We've had 2 below par experiences with Royal Caribbean over the past 22 years and more than 3 dozen cruises between R/C, X, HAL and NCL. Our first was a lazy complaining room steward about 19 years ago. Did this ruin our cruise? Not in the least, it actually was entertaining to see how he took shortcuts each day to do as little as possible. The second was on the day before COVID shut down the cruise industry. A brutally long wait outdoors in frigid temperatures at the Baltimore port. On the same cruise we had a faulty HVAC system that was temperamental in both cold and hot weather and a suite veranda door that wanted to open whenever the ship hit a swell. On the same cruise the meal we were served in CHOPS was not worth ten cents and was pretty bad. Did this ruin our cruise? Not in the least. It was treated as an adventure and gave us a better appreciation of all the good things over the years that we experienced and were provided on the Royal Caribbean ships, and by the crews who took such good care of us..
  8. So true. 5 or 10 bucks could mean a dinner out for the family back home/.
  9. Prepay a week or two prior to cruise to get our credit card points.
  10. Somewhat disabled so we will drop off the bags then do a loop and re-enter to the upper deck. We have done this several times a few years ago. Thanks to all.
  11. When driving to and parking at the terminal what is the current procedure as far as luggage and availability of porters ?
  12. On all our Anthem sailings including the one we just sailed (01/13/23) just ask the steward and they have small bottles of shampoo, conditioner etc. Suites get upgraded brands. All showers have the generic wall pump omni-wash stuff as well.
  13. Last week on the Anthem. Was fine with us. Truegrade purified water reverse osmosis Florida0
  14. Friends and relatives have used this several times in the past and LOVED IT. Cruise Express Shuttle - Yankee Trails - Albany, NY
  15. NEVER SAY NEVER.? In my case the garage was NEVER restricted to disabled only. Probably 20 cruises or more we have enjoyed the convenience of the garage/ Yes there must have been a time or so that that was necessary due to the number of ships BUT that is not the norm.
  16. We have parked there at least once if not twice a year from way back before the new parking building was done. The parking building has NEVER been just for disabled. One area as you first enter the building is designated for disabled. This is as witnessed on our last cruise a few weeks ago and we will be parking there again as of this coming Friday. If there are several ships in then that is a different story, however the lot has always had room in all the years we were there.
  17. $25 a day. Pull up in front of the terminal. There will be people there to take your checked luggage from your car. Drive a few hundred feet to a secure parking area (mostly roofed). Walk back those few hundred feet and enter the terminal. Returning from your cruise you will be in your car on the way home within minutes of leaving the terminal. This is secure and protected.
  18. There are several TOTALLY GLUTEN FREE beers. Beer can be made with many sources of starch that is converted to sugar without containing any gluten. CAUTION: GLUTEN REDUCED does NOT mean GLUTEN FREE.
  19. I saw a passenger using something like this to bring an assortment of buffet foods back to their cabin.
  20. There are a few gluten free beers that are not that bad. I wonder if you made a list the dining people might stock a few bottles. There is a big demand these days for gluten free options and an opportunity for at least one or two brands selling very well onboard/
