    What a wonderful summer Sunday afternoon ! F1, with Lewis on pole, golf promising to be an exciting finish and the Ashes, could we do it ? F1, c*** start and Max is away and Lewis is 4th, instant switch over. Ashes, rain stopped play and match abandoned. Golf, for a few minutes it seemed there would be a challenge, not to be, well done Brian Harman. The weather ? Forget it.

    If you can afford a balcony, go for it. We have done so several crossings from Tenerife and the weather hss been warm/hot during the crossing.

    Good for you Graham, lifes too short, enjoy it whilst you can. We have 4 booked over the next 18 months and there may be late additions I have a friend who is a multi millionaire, he won't spend a penny unless he has to, I keep telling him you can't take it with you. He sold his business a few years ago and now pops in and out of his son"s business. Each to their own.

    Is it easy to drive into Ocean Terminal, drop off luggage and drive out ? I assume baggage drop off opens about 11.30am ?

    We are boarding Arvia on 17th September, Boat Show weekend. Staying at a pub outside Southampton night before. With the heavy traffic I will leave about 10.30 and walk from Triangle car park to West Quays to pass the time away.

    Shares are a gamble. I only buy what I can afford to lose. So far, if I sold, today I would be nearly £1000 in profit. I may buy again because I think they wil keep climbing, but nobody knows, so please don't do as I do if you don't want to lose money.

    For our September cruise, it coincides with the BoatS Show, Southampton hotels are crazy prices so I've booked on outskirts, £130 with breakfast. Would normally be 30 minutes to port but will leave after breakfast at about 10.30 to allow for heavy traffic.

    Thanks for the info. My current fixed deal ends mid September so I'm leaving it until mid August and look then at what's on offer.

    I had a look at the Octopus site and the Tracker plan has been withdrawn for new customers. I will have a decision to make when my fixed 2 year deal with Ovo finishes in September. I was very fortunate to fix then, a week later all the fixed deals were withdrawn. I know I will be paying at least double my current £100 pm for duel energy. Good while it lasted.

    My P&O loyalty going back to Ocean Village is on Princess but not on P&O ! Anyone had Ocean Village cruises credited on P& O ?

    Not really. By your own admission some tables give limited views. I wouldn't want to look at a pillar, but if you do, each to their own.

    We have seen him twice. Very interactive with the guests and a great voice. I would not go again only because his second set was a repeat. Yes you have to queue early.

    Looking forward to Iona Jan 25 to Caribbean. Our long distance flying days are over so a no fly cruise to the Caribbean will be very welcome.
