That process was improved about 2 years ago. If you have downloaded the X App you can watch the safety video and check in on-line at home before you step on the ship. Once you board you need to meet at your designated muster station and be accounted for. Easy peasy.

We did too. The 2 brothers did not disappoint, love their sense of humor! Looking forward to sailing on our new favorite X ship with our favorite Captains! Life is good! 😊

We have been sailing with X for many, many years and never looked at any menus for any of our sailings pre-cruise until our last sailing which was on Apex. And that was only because we were checking out The Chefs Table by Daniel Boulud. The stars must have been aligned because it was the best dining experience I've ever had on any cruise. 👍😋

I'm definitely not getting excited, but I'm also not worrying about what will be on the menu on my next cruise. 😉 I don't have to cook or clean up the kitchen, so it's all good (to me). 👍 And we don't eat lobster.

Years ago when our ship actually did sail from Venice, we spent three nights there pre-cruise. It was wonderful because we enjoyed the city at a leisurely pace. And you really should experience Venice at night, without all the tourists! As I've said before, it's magical. I hope you enjoy your time there as much as we did!

But either way, hopefully the squeaky wheel gets the grease and not thrown out. Would that be lard or chicken fat? 😉

I was very interested in Richard Branson's new cruise line and read everything I could find when he launched it.When the first images of the ship were revealed he described why the cabins were designed in a specific fashion and he made it abundantly clear that he hoped many guests would “get together” to put it politely. 😳 Kind of like the behavior one would see in College dorm rooms. Not the cruise line for us. YMMV. 😁

Your cruise is 11 months away. IMO, what is currently being reported in the Oceanview Cafe is a reflection of the total number of passengers on board (not fully booked). I would venture a guess that when you sail in December the ship will have far more passengers and the offerings in Oceanview will be back to normal. Hope you and your kids have a great cruise.
