  1. The absolute must see is the historic city centre with the cathedral and some other churches, monasteries and buildings. I would also recommend the gold museum presenting precolumbian artefacts. Lima is very huge with many different neighbourhoods, very poor, very rich and much in between. Thus a guided tour that takes you allaround would also be interesting.
  2. Personally I like the Sala Pau Casals. Food offerings are Spanish Tapas and their like. Drinks include Spanish wine among others.
  3. Right on the main street in Katakolon, which is basically the only street, a couple of vendors do offer tours. You can either stay with the guide for a tour outside the historic site, just gering a panoramic view, or do your own thing. Pre covid it was just € 15 or so.
  4. True, Corfu town is very easy on your own. For places outside you might also check the local buses. From the main bus stop in the town you can get to many tourist places.
  5. In Athens I definitely would recommend the hop on hop off bus without hopping oft, or any other panoramic tour. Acropolis, plaka, most of tourist areas have uneven grounds.
  6. In Rhodes the historic centre is in short walking distance. A taxi would be useless. Yet, the streets are partly historic, too, thus I am not sure how comfortable walking is with walking aids.
  7. In Tangier we opted for ship tours, yet other guest did choose an independent tour and others went out at there own. The later I would have not recommended but even those guests found it surprisingly easy for the markets at least. Both ships and independent tours might / are likely to include some hard selling pitch.
  8. As a cruise passenger you want to start at Warnemünde directly next to the cruise center. (Warnemünde Werft is further away and local transportation only.) Currently the probably most suitable train would be IC at 07:56, getting to Berlin at 10:23. I would recommend buying the tickets in advance via the offical Homepage (Bahn.de), as you can get cheaper prices in advance, and to get seat resevations.
  9. When we were there, albeit pre-covid, there was also a regular bus from the port to Knossos. Very economical. We also did a self guided walking tour around Heraklion, yet it is a rather modern city with rare historic sights.
  10. We enjoyed the Infantes Sagres, a rather traditional grand hotel within in walking distance to many sights.
  11. Did you use any special offer or something? On their website they ask € 38 for a test.
  12. I should add: reminded in a positive way.
  13. Butrient is the Roman City to see. Anothet option is Gjirokastra, a world heritage site. This city is further swa but I thought it be worthwhile. Sarande itself is a lind of sea side resort with a promenade long the beach bars and so on, albeit it reminded me, a visitor from Western Europe, of maye Italy 50 years ago or so. No wonder given the much younger history of freedom and tourism.
