Unfortunately there appear to be some resellers which buy up most tickets immediately. Fortunately tickets are returned all the time and it pays to check availability frequently. Without any fixed rule 2 tickets here or 20 there are released. Do not wait for the most ideal timeslot, but when one opens that works for you, grab it.
  2. Perfect. Just like to add that you should buy the Tickets as soon as possible to get the Datei and time you want. There is no need to pay more with a third party vendor.
  3. Currently (antigen)tests are free for all in Germany. There are hundreds of testcenters including one at the main station but reaaly allover. The cities official homepage hamburg.com includes and links many informations about current rules and options.
  4. Heraklion can easily be done by oneself. Both taxis and public transportation are available. For the others some kind of tour might ba advisable, either by Cunard or an independent operator. The later I would prebook from home in the countries concerned. Well, Colombo might be done in your own if you are adventorous enough. Check the port or call sections.
  5. Of course, plain water is available for free in all bars at any time, top. Pre-covid there used to be a reception were you got alcoholic drinks for free, too. Recently it just has been a class of sparkling at dine one of the nights.
  6. You have time to cover different types of activities and interests. You could start with a selfguided walking tour covering the historic sites and museums which are hidden behind the glitzy tourist waterfront and shopping mall part. Maybe 2-3 hours. This might be followed by a tour around the Island, either by taking one of the many van tours offered at the port or on your own. 2-3 hours? You could leave resp finish the tour in the beach and hotel area for what kind of relaxtion you like - Sun, food, Drinks, water or Land "fun" activities. Back to the town maybe a short look for souveniers before going on your sunset catameran cruise. Just ideas.
  7. Lindos is not advisable for guests with walking limitations. The major attraction is the walk-up to the Acropolis.
  8. 9am at the airport? This should be fine, even with drop off luggage. No guarantee, though, wouldn't take much risk of delay.
  9. Currently the mask requirement for Italy is about to end June 15th. Even now they are mandatory in certain locations like theatre and public transportation only, recommended in all other.
  10. Right. Give room service a call or just wait for the next regular service, eg if you are not going to be in your cabin.
  11. Hot topic. From a European perspective: no tip required.
  12. MSC offers a cruise on the MSC Sinfonia from Cape Town to Venice in 2023.
  13. I would assume all of the above to be correct, especially as I have never seen the restaurant fully occupied, either. The only caveat might be, even though it was not full, occasionally they insisted on reservations.
  14. Thank you for sharing thoughts, insights and pictures!
  15. The parc de la mar is the area between the cathedrale and the sea. It is a nice walk around the bay/ the port but takes maybe 45 minutes. There is a public bus, a taxi will be quite inexpensive, maybe 10 minutes.
  16. They had pastries and also fruits including strawberries. I am sorry I did not look for newspapers.
  17. You are expected to arrive within a couple of minutes. Officially orders are taken for 30 minutes. The potential queue moves very fast once the doors open. I wouldn't even call it a queue, more just people arriving a little bit early.
  18. Have your ruled out Genoa itself? The city is historic and authentic. For example Genoa has a past with quite rich nobility and several of the palaces can be visited (other are lived in 😉 ) If you are mobil you can start your walking tour right a the port.
  19. Thank you, @safarigal! So same new people. Thank you also for your blog. Very enjoyable.
  20. Do you or does anybody else know if there are other "well known" staff members on board who were also there on the last days of the Queen Victoria in March of 2020? Eg, is Leslie there? Who is the pianist in the Commodore Club?
  21. An alternative would be just to walk around the beautiful city, visit one or more of the museums, see the historic buildings.
  22. For wild life and jungle I would recommend a tour. In Puntarenas itself one can walk around to get the local flavour. A nice church, a market, well just local life, no over important sights.
  23. Did you email them? Does info@bonairevistatours.com not work anymore?
  24. Thank you very much for posting. It is so good to read about the Queen Victoria full of life again.
  25. These itineraries are very much about the nature, @TayanaLorna gave you some names. There are more glaciers you pass by very close and have spectacular views. Regarding ports: There just aren't many in the far South of America. Those to be visited have there unique charme. These cruises are also very much about the pure experience of sailing around Cape Horn, something many sailor of former days did not survive. I really enjoyed my cruise there.
