  1. Just let the bartender know you want to stay within the Classic Package. Will accommodate. As for Specialty Dining, you can order more than one appetizer and dessert. There is alot of food and we usually order only one from each category.
  2. FaceTime did not consistently work in the Caribbean. This was with the Premium service. A cruise ship is not the ideal place to use Zoom.
  3. Murano Eden Lawn Club I also loved eating in Qsine. Fun experience.
  4. Warm goat cheese souffle, chateaubriand for two, and Murano lobster prepared table side. Other appetizers that we enjoyed are the Maine lobster bisque and Diver scallop Wellington. We enjoy the crepe Balon Rouge prepared table side for dessert.
  5. Check the sample menu in Manage Reservation.
  6. You can book an Aqua Class without the All Inclusive perks. It may be through a Guarantee and closer to the sailing date. That does make a difference in price. Check your invoice and it should be indicated. If a deal is too good to be true, then ....
  7. Are we allowed to sail on another line? 😀 You won't get those valuable points on Celebrity. I am wondering how much a Power Up Point may actually be worth. In the airline frequent flier programs, it has been estimated that each point or mile is worth a little over 1 cent.
  8. There are advantage with many of the A2 cabins as they are in the center of the ship and can help in rough seas. Be aware that you may hear some chairs being moved above you early in the morning for a short period of time. But you really don't want to be under the gym or the Spa Cafe if you are a light sleeper.
  9. The ads that I see feature Ken and Barbie types. I don't usually see them on my cruses on Celebrity. But I will keep an eye out for the food favorites.
  10. We had that option precruise on the Beyond-- but once on board, it was Anytime Dining in the 4 MDRs on. our cruise.
  11. At the bars, it was Seagrams Tonic Water.
  12. First, I would not take a reservation at that time. As the majority of cruisers have Anytime Dining, just show up when you want to eat. That is easy. If you had signed up for that time, I would notify the hostess of the change or cancel your reservation on the app.
  13. And if you don't say anything, it comes out with this cream sauce all over it. $13.99? Give me a break. For a warm water "lobster"??
  14. There is no early or late seating on Beyond. Go when you want to eat to any of the 4 dining rooms. We wanted to eat in Normandie and arrived around 6:45 pm. We were told they were full and to come back in 30 minutes. The next night, we arrived earlier and there was no problem.
  15. On the Beyond, the DJ started in Eden at 10 pm and ended at 11 on select nights. There was also live music (solo or duos) on some evenings. The production shows in Eden began either at 10:30 or 11 pm depending on the night. The Eden Cafe was open daily for lunch. As for dining at the Eden Specialty Restaurant, reservations were at a premium. Chose an earlier time as there is no assigned seating at the show (not many chairs) and people arrive early to get a good location to see the show. For dining suggestions, the Nova Scotia casserole is outstanding and we had probably the best crab cake we ever had there. Also worth considering are the filet mignon and pan roasted Carabinero shrimp.
  16. We announce to the wine server in Blu that we would like to stay within the Classic Package. There have been several wines offered. If there are none in the Classic category due to supply shortages, etc. , we have been given more expensive wines at no additional charge. Much depends on the sommelier. We had one that was outstanding and the other...
  17. We had one Basic Plan and one Premium Plan. With the Basic, we could send emails during the entire cruise. However, if there was a photo attached, it was generally not successful. With the Premium, the photos went through. FaceTime was iffy even on the Premium Plan. It depended where you were located in the Caribbean.
  18. I agree. That has never been our experience in Blu. We also have never been offered smoothies and never had a pushy wine steward. I kind of wonder why some people spend money to cruise with certain attitudes.
  19. The Magic Carpet does not always face the port. As for which side, very often there is another cruise ship on either side of you and it does not matter. Alot depends on the particular port. I would rather look at scenery rather the containers on shore at a particular port. It can be like tossing a coin.
  20. What did the Captain do about the situation? Did she make an announcement? This happened on our Royal Caribbean cruise and the Captain made an announcement and told all children to report to their rooms for an announcement. An announcement was made regarding the behavior and possible consequences. There was a dramatic improvement in behavior.
  21. Yes, on our cruise, it was announced that a new group of performers were coming on board at one of the ports. There were several shows in the Eden area and on other nights there was a DJ or live soft music (soloist or duo).
  22. This thread is a repeated theme of those in the past going back years. I remember people getting upset when the midnight buffet was removed. Then the huge luncheon event in the MDR was gone. Now, some cruisers are upset at a $1.60 increase in tips for a Specialty Restaurants. The increase in gratuities were sent in an email and even made the national news. Blindsided if you did not read your email.
  23. When I made the reservation and was checking out, there was a notation of a 20% gratuity being added. I did have a choice to "cancel" or to proceed. I chose to pay the increase. I did have a choice.
  24. You should first go to the Reviews section of this site and look at the comprehensive reviews of the Celebrity Beyond. Tons of information from cruisers. It is a very good ship. Be careful which room you choose as there are many that have creaks and noises in the ceiling and walls.
  25. If you paid 18% 3 weeks ago, consider yourself fortunate. Over a month ago, I had paid 20% and that amount was stated in the checkout. It amounts to $1.60 for a couple at the Roof Top and I can afford that for the quality of service we all receive.
