Lisa and Owen were busy after he finished his school work at home. I blew snow as it was a continuous rain/snow event. The two of them came out and got some fresh air.

They rolled some snow and made this snowman. Pine cone eyes, icicle nose, cedar hair with a wig of hydrangea flowers and a smile of wood. I suggested one more pine cone but it was shot down. 😆

  2. @A&L_Ont Hope your wife is enjoying Valentines and birthday weekend. For the last year since no going out we have made birthday weekends instead.  Birthday person gets to choose all meals and does not have to clean up after. We are lucky (knock on wood) 6 of us live together and oldest daughter works at Children's Hospital in D.C. we have not had issues with covid so far. The logistics of working from home and virtual learning for both grandchildren has been hard but the kids seem to enjoy being home not like us grown ups getting house happy.

Amazingly enough, most arenas are actually real glass and not plexiglass. Still, a very stupid thing to let the kid do on a ship or on land. Surprised the girl didn’t break a window in their own house, where it would not shatter into a million small pieces like at the arena. Think about the scene in Ghost as an example of the outcome.

    Is this home video @A&L_Ont

😁   😁  Not only those.... if you go to my very first post, you'll see other ones too... Corning are expensive here (may be in the States too?), so -- every "sale" I add one or two... they are very light and easy to handle.

I went back to first post and saw the bowl i missed seeing it so  long ago. My granddaughter would have me at that strawberry field every day.

9256?  My favorite cabin.  Have had that cabin on all four sisters, several times.  AND was supposed to be in it on sister Serenade as we visited New Zealand....would have been glorious as we toured the fiords.  Sigh...

Also had that cabin on Radiance north/southbound Alaska B2B.  Best way to view the inland waterway!  And that view of the Glacier as we were departing...perfect with wine and cheese.  🤗🍷🧀

Does this look familiar?  😉  1100 JS is nice as well, but I like being one deck down from the noise of the outside WJ overhead.

Yes 9256 best cabin we ever had except for an upgrade on a carnival cruise.

Yikes...a lot!  Would be easier to list off the countries and islands we (were 😞 ) to visit.  Was to do a total circumnavigation around Australia.  Also visiting Tasmania, plus north and south New Zealand.  Doing many small islands in the south Pacific, then on to Hawaii visiting the islands there for 5 days...then on to Vancouver.

I was able to convince the wife to do a 15 day round trip California to Hawaii for our 20th anniversary some years ago. Was able to get wrap around balcony on Radiance enjoyed all 10 days at sea. Probably the longest cruise we will ever get to do.

I spent some time doing furniture repair this past week, a first for me of this extent. My dad bought this chair shortly after he graduated from the architectural program in the mid-60s. One of the supports had broke and the glue was well dried out in all the other joints. After a few YouTube videos I went at it.

I labelled all the pieces with tape so each part went back where it belonged. The small piece in stained was the replacement part I made.

On Saturday I disassembled the chair removed all the old glue, sanded down connecting locations and applied new glue. Then attached clamps and placed a heavy tool box on it to make sure it sat level.

Yesterday I matched the stain as close as I could.

I then removed the clamps and did the staining. The new replacement piece is the lower thin piece. I also went over any areas that needed it.

Next part of the project, I will reupholster the chair. Material is ordered. Photos to come. It’s pretty ratty but it’s decades old and sat in a corner of the cottage basement for a long time. I haven’t done this before either.

Great work( as long as it does not fall apart when in use.)
