First time European cruise leaving from Southampton and ending in Rome. My question is about the currency for tipping. Southampton and dock workers. The porters at the port are they expecting a tip like the workers in the unite states? On the ship such as room service what currency is expected. United States dollars or Great Britain pound? What about porters in Rome? Do they expect a tip too? I‘m guessing they do so I will have to get some euros to tip them too?

Looking probably for private car service so was wondering what time to place the order to pick us up. What time can we reasonably expect to disembark?

We dock according to the cruise website (Princess) at 5:00 am. What time could we expect to arrive in Rome and any transfer recommendations please.

As my wife frequently reminds me about being, I still say things. I think the corkage fee is referring to the bottles you bring on board for consumption in your stateroom. It does not refer to being charged if you bring it to the dining room. Anyone had recent experience with bring a bottle to the dining room without being charged.

Just returned from the solstice and found sitting in the first section of Luminae was much longer than sitting in the back section. Dinner and lunch would take from one and a half to two hours. This is not acceptable in our opinion for a three course meal. Ask foe Alvin’s section he was the best.
