So, another question.... In my research it says that you can locate another person by using the app/medallion...... My husband has a tendency to wander off....and then gets mad at me for some reason....so I end up staying stationery (ie....I can't change machines in the casino...because he won't be able to locate me). This location feature sounds ideal. How does it work? Is it simple to use (he's technologically challenged).

I was imagining that "the special dessert" would be something like a Carvel Sunday....ice cream, syrup and some nuts...maybe a cherry on top. I'll probably try one...and pick at it. On the other hand.....juice bar!!!! Yay!

Ok....now this is a really serious question. I have a sweet tooth. One could say that I'm a chocoholic. Being entitled to 2 "special dessets" a day....I was initially excited. But I did my homework....and they look like a heart attack waiting to happen. Will "the dessert place" give you just a plain cup of ice cream with a topping?

Another question....I assume there will be a full mini bar. I assume the Plus Package would include the contents of the mini bar. Is my logical assumption correct?

Another question...I got the Plus package. On the OceanNow delivery menu there a few things with a small surcharge. Is the surcharge waived with the Plus package?

First time on Princess...Island Princess 6/25 to be exact I have a few questions/confirmations etc In room toiletries.....according to the website, we are supplied with shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Please confirm...and if so, do they replenish as needed? I'm not fussy....just don't want to bring unnecessary bottles and tubes. Embarkation....according to the website, we just need the medallion. Do they send us documentation...as to arrival time and address of the port? Casino.....on every other cruise, one needs a room key card to play. How about on Princess? Do I scan the medallion or something? Can I charge the money to my cabin? If so, is there a fee? If I think of more, I'll add to this thread!

Well...I did it myself. I called 3 other agents and each one came up with a price higher than Princess??? TA wasn't saving me that much and I didn't want to lose the cabin. Expect a bunch of "stupid questions" from me for the next 4 weeks!

There's one cabin left on the deck/category I want. Being a holiday weekend....my TA is MIA. I've read all these threads about calling Princess directly and getting the promotions dept. What is the correct number so I have a chance of a knowledgeable person? Or, is it safer to just book on line? I'm superstitious....hope this isn't an omen.

I looked this up and I can't find the answer...... They bring food to you anywhere on the ship? Is this from a special menu? Any menu? I assume you tip the person who delivers......or is that included (since daily service charge is included with the package)?

But as I get older....my cognitive skills decline! Seriously...I was doing the research, and I was led to believe they had something to do with "getting a package", which I don't want. On MSC...we get them automatically...in the YC...so I was thinking that if you don't get a package, you don't get a medallion.

I could walk to the Manhattan terminal (if I didn't have luggage and DH didn't need a cane)...but not to Red Hook. I really don't like it there; too congested. But, the cruise I'm looking at is out of Red Hook. Oh well...

It's "for free" when you check in? Is there any benefit to ordering it for your home? We are generally "buffet eaters"....never eat in specialty restaurants, even when entitled by status on other lines.

What's that all about? I've cruised on CCL, NCL and MSC (YC). I'm looking into a Princess Cruise....not interested in Plus or Premier packages. Is the medallion something physical? Something included with a package....or something everyone gets (like a keycard)? Thanks

Hmmm...in thinking about it, I probably use cards that don't charge foreign transaction fees when booking and on the ship.

Happy for you...but what does "it's fairly common in Galveston for people to forget their BC" mean? That security in TX is lax? Enjoy your trip...but I'm not too happy about the "Texas Security" thing. That's why you go all the "nos".

I live in NYC. I used an American credit card. I called the bank before, telling them I'd be traveling. No problems. This was my 3rd msc cruise....all with different cards. Never had an issue with "foreign transactions".
