  1. Based on the current requirements stated on the app we plan on testing two days prior to our sail date using an online proctor at home on the 19th as we fly out on the morning of the 20th. We'll use our iHeatlth test kits (received 8 new ones this past Friday) and use Rapid Test and Trace.
  2. You should cruise on over to the Roll Call forum here on CC and join the roll call for your cruise. A great place to ask specific questions concerning your cruise.
  3. I haven't bothered to look on Celebrity's website. I figure the app is itinerary specific (21 September). On the app it says "pre-cruise testing for vaccinated guests must present a supervised, negative antigen test results for covid-19 taken within 2 days prior to sailing". Looks like Celebrity still has the requirement in place in order to board the ship in Boston. We are 30 days out and starting to get a little more concerned with the precruise testing requirement.
  4. I also have read that. But currently Celebrity still has the requirement for precruise covid testing. 👎
  5. Man, and I thought we were dictated DL lizards. 😉
  6. That's what I thought and planning for our 21 September NE/Canada cruise. Agree the 29th works for @GypsyJedi.
  7. Try it for yourself. It maybe acceptable on some ships but not fleetwide.
  8. And at that you have to be careful as table elbow can very painful as we age.
  9. Agree. Not living in a bubble or our basement! We have had all four boosters including other yearly vaccinations. Personal preference only. Just wish precruise testing would be eliminated no matter whose requirement it is.
  10. Years ago when smokers were allowed to smoke in the pubs on the promenade I would see an occasional smoker walking out of the pub still smoking. I also would see staff members stop them.
  11. Great. MDR was very busy for TD early seating on our B2B cruise (both legs) on the Explorer in March. Like most things dealing with the dining venues, all subjective. We aren't buffet fans and find the quality of the food, food temp, and portions in the MDR to our liking. Same with the temperature in the MDR. If not we'd politely let the waitstaff know. On occasion we have had to ask one of the waiters to close the curtains/blinds on a window as the sunrise/sunset was blinding us at our table.
  12. Totally opposite experiences for us in the MDR no matter the time of day. Exactly why we don't base our cruise decisions based on others positive or negative opinions or experiences.
  13. I agree with Pats (island lady) thinking. Unfortunately nothing to update. No news is always not good news. We have a cruise with Celebrity on 21 September and planning on taking the home proctored test using the at no additional charge govt issued iHealth test kits. Ordered more last week and receive them (8 kits total) today. PITA, but...
  14. We to a chance and always go directly to the MDR to scope out a table for two in a location we like. Speaking only for us, but asking for a table size or by the window using the dining email usually works but where the table is located in the MDR by a window or size may not be ideal. We've some tables by a window we wouldn't have wanted.
  15. I wondered why that grump was always staring at me. 😁
