  1. Sailaways on Britannia in October. I would much sooner have a sailaway than watch the cooks parading around in front of folk who have spent the whole cruise complaining about the food.🤣
  2. We had that on Britannia in October. TBH we don't care who the driver is as long as they don't hit anything .
  3. We asked for a sea view room and got this view of Aida Cosma a long, long ,long way away.
  4. Nice to see companies stepping up to the plate . I'm sure your thanks to them means a lot.
  5. Like when the naval officer walked up the beach with his party of marines. I claim this land for the British crown. The native chief said....Land mine....no, said the officer land now mine and continued walking up the beach......boooom. I warned him said the chief.
  6. When we go, it tends to be late lunchtime. The little darlings are in school. Can get overrun with wrinklies, but they are generally quite well behaved.
  7. In the days of old, when 2 groups of 2 sat at a table for 4 we split the bill, or worked out a method between us. Perhaps with the advent of modern technology, it is us humans who are failing. Just think. AI may prompt us to start using our brains again
  8. We visited again last year on Silhouette .Perhaps another visit next year, before any ban.
  9. We got the troll as well. You know how something puzzles you and you think..oh well ?. Our first RC cruise was on Indy a few years ago. By about Wednesday, I realised why, on boarding the elevator was called Saturday
  10. Coincidentally we are in one now. Food is always hot and well prepared. 2 decent meals for the price of 2 sandwiches. What's not to like.
  11. Interesting experiment today. Flying of to Majorca in the morning for a week. We are trying to fit everything into one medium sized suitcase. If it works out, carry on bags for the next long weekend. If we forget anything...well, Spain has some shops.
  12. Butchart Gardens is well worth a visit if you have time. If not, Burger King has free WiFi.
  13. Nice review. We were on Anthem last year and are deciding what to do with RC next year. That must be the most photographed giraffe at sea.🤣
  14. Yes,a fair and balanced review.by somebody who was on the cruise. What I find astonishing is that some folk find a negative, exaggerate it and give their authoritative opinion and they weren't there.
  15. There seems to be a misconception that P&O are filling their ships up with people who can't afford anything else, have never cruised before, so will not notice poor standards. Quite insulting really.
  16. Sometimes we fill them in if something is particularly good, or bad. We gave reviews on most restaurants and holidays immediately after lockdown as folk wanted to know what things were like in general. Hygiene, safety etc and we ate out lots. It seems on here that if you give positive comments some folk just dismiss them....can't be...you enjoyed the food ?..🤣
  17. Food is fine in the MDR, but we like a bit of variety so sometimes dine in the speciality restaurants, or buffet for a change. As cruises, even in a ' budget ' inside cabin are still more expensive than a holiday hotel, I don't think they are filling these ships up with only poor people.
  18. TBH, we get the email from P&O quite often, but delete them. It seems that every time we buy anything we get an email ' how did we do ?'..... In a shop ,we will email your receipt.....oh no you won't as you don't have my email address. I would guess a good number of reviews are from folk with an axe to grind......Did you know that there are no midship stairs on Britannia?..........really...astonishing....one star.
  19. We have never had a noisy cabin. DW complained about somebody snoring, but put a pillow over my head and it didn't bother her again.🤣
  20. I have never posted a feefo review and have never read one, so I thought I would have a look. Somebody gave P&O a one star as they were a solo cruise and had to carry the remainder of their wine around. Obviously taking it back to the cabin was too difficult. ...I didn't bother after that.
  21. We had freedom dining on Britannia in October. I worked fine. Fixed dining doesn't suit us.
  22. On Azura we cancelled a full day tour and changed it to a half day tour. No charge for the change and the refund processed quickly. I think it was a couple of days before the tour.
  23. Could be that indeed. I just hope that they are happy folk. When we go to the Caribbean on Britannia in December I hope it is full of cheerful folk who will look at all the lovely islands and warm sun and will enjoy their holidays. When we got back after our wonderful cruise on Britannia in October I remember all those happy smiley people and folk working their socks off to ensure we had a good time. Didn't meet any grumpy folk on board. I had one complaint....the focaccia didn't have any rosemary, but 99.9% of people don't like it anyway.🤣
  24. Perhaps the 2000 new to P&O were not new to cruising, but were flocking to P&O from other cruise lines. Just saying ( speculating ).🤔
