  1. I should have specified that the maximum age in UK for rental cars is 75. One needs to check specific counties in Europe.
  2. In general, the maximum age for rental cars is 75.
  3. As a resident of Arizona, Mexican food is the last thing I want on a cruise. I can get that (and good Mexican food) everyday, here.
  4. Compliments of @basor who posted this last May: https://www.oceaniacruises.com/sites/default/files/2023-04/general-bar-menu-oceania.pdf This is for the regular bar menus... https://www.oceaniacruises.com/sites/default/files/2023-01/Oceania-Premier-Spirits-Menu.pdf This is for premium spirits that are not included in any package
  5. I agree. To me, it proving that the TA is liable and getting the agency to cover the loss. But that may require a small claims court filing.
  6. Unless there is a record that the pax requested the TA to cancel, it will be difficult to win a credit card challenge. While we speak to our TA by phone frequently, we always send any request, whether it's booking, payments, cancellations etc by email, and she confirms them. She similarly requests us to respond by email when it comes to the financial details. Every transaction is documented.
  7. Have you spoken to Engineering about checking the cooling temperature and flow and having them open the vents fully That may not be the problem, but on a past cruise, it made a difference.
  8. The OP asked the question in Post #1. I (Post # 2) and an other (Post #3) answered it with a no, but others moved the discussion in a different direction about whether they had drinks in the Casino My post here was an attempt to sum it up and clarify that the answer to the OP is still no; drinks in the Casino are not included in SM. Here is the quote from Post # 1: SM question: with the standard SM package, are drinks in the casino while gambling an extra cost? What about just a beer or glass of wine?
  9. So, it looks to me, the casino manager or the pit boss might offer free drinks. If that's true, then the answer the original question, is that they were not included in the basic SM package.
  10. Did you have the enhanced drink package?
  11. You can't add the drink package on line. You can do it on board. You can wait to see how much you drink before buying it to see if it makes sense, and if it does, you can add it for the remainder of the trip...pro-rated. Some folks have had success in buying it in advance through their TA. Only one of you has to buy it, but O frowns sharing, even if only on an occasion or two.
  12. Yes. Any drinks any where outside of dining hours and outside of dining venues is extra. Whether it is worth adding the premium package depends on how much you drink. Estimate the number of drinks you would consume daily, price out the cost (roughly $ 12 - 14 per drink and upward, plus 20% gratuity) and compare it to the daily cost of the upgraded package which includes gratuity.
  13. I knew what you meant. It was clo's post for which I didn't get the point. I thought my response to you was that the excursions are not free, but the costs are bundled into the cruise price. Sorry I wasn’t clearer. Nothing is free in rhis world. You pay for it one way or another. It's only a question is how well the cost is hidden 😕 .
  14. I don't get your point. They are "free," only in the sense you get a credit in the form of SBC towards excursions, the cost of which is included in the cruise fare. And, depending on your selection (OS, OE, etc), the credit may not cover the cost of a single excursion. Sixes of one; half a dozen of the other, as a friend of mine would say.
  15. The cruise price includes SBC that can be used only for excursions. The amount depends on the length of the cruise. It's used first when paying for the excursions; any amount above that amount is charged to your credit card. The SM package is a 25% discount on all the excursions you book once you hit a set number of excursions. The set number is dependent on the length of the cruise and the number or ports. That number is given in the pdf of the excursions for the cruise.

  17. Wait...it's not nonsense...during O's Happy Hours..🍸🍸
  18. Agreed! Facts will not sway the deniers with unswayable pre-conceived notions, which are sometimes based on one bad experience which they have generalized across the industry or sometimes based on nothing. Some folks are satisfied with their horse and buggy, and if they are happy, we should respect their choice and be happy for them. However, others who prefer a more modern form of transportation should be granted the same respect.
  19. So sorry, but they won't be open anywhere near that early.
  20. I agree. We think of cruising as a way to sample cities, countries, and areas to see if we want to go back for a land trip.
  21. You didn't direct your post to me, but there are many threads about flying in early. The general consensus is that you should not trust the airline to be on time, connections being made, or your bags to arrive with you, so for peace of mind most folks recommend flying in at least one day early for any cruise and enjoy the embarkation port while you recover from the flight
  22. Doesn't it automatically go back on your credit card is you don't cash out at the end of the cruise? I thought that was true, but I never never seem have any credit balance at the end.
