  1. We got the 53% discount for next year’s Australia cruise and Alaska cruise but not for our Spain and Portugal cruise in 12 days time.
  2. Our November cruise is also still showing the higher rate. Our March cruise is £14.07 so we’ll upgrade for that one.
  3. We’ve stayed in these staterooms several times and have another one booked for Alaska next year. We’ve never had a problem with noise from the theatre, although we wouldn’t be in our cabin when the shows were on.
  4. I hope it’s docked that way in March as we have a SV on Edge.
  5. We had afternoon tea available every day in the buffet on Reflection last month.
  6. We like the end cabins 6030 and 6035. Unfortunately we could only get 6023 for our upcoming Alaska cruise, as we wanted to be on the port side.
  7. We were on Reflection in September and the shows were at these times.
  8. Yes the pick-up point was easy to find - about 10 minutes walk from the port. When we arrived early there was nobody there from the tour company but there were a few other passengers waiting and after about 5 minutes the minibus arrived. Another hour in Taormina would have been good but we had a walk around the streets, had coffee and cannoli and visited the Botanical gardens.
  9. I had the same problem on Silhouette this year. I didn’t like the fake champagne which was served on the premium package and ended up drinking Prosecco instead. The rose Prosecco which only seems to be available at the Sunset Bar was good. For our next cruise we’re thinking of staying with the classic drinks package for the first time.
  10. https://www.sightseeing-experience.com/messina-taormina-shuttle-bus/ We used this company earlier this month when we were in Messina on Celebrity Reflection and didn’t have any problems.
  11. The MDR is open to everyone to breakfast every morning and there are also some small plates at the Spa cafe. The only problem with the MDR for us is the early closing and we usually sleep too late to make it in time.
  12. We were on the Onward maiden voyage and had no balcony chairs for the first 4 days so we were delighted when these chairs were delivered to the ship in Civitavecchia. Although not the most comfortable chairs they were better than none!
  13. We returned from Rome on Thursday and there were long lines every day at the Pantheon. Our apartment was very near so we walked past it frequently.
  14. We were in Marseille on Reflection 2 weeks ago and got the ship shuttle into town which cost $15. We then got the petit train to the Basilica of Notre Dame. On the return journey we were dropped at the old port where we walked around, before catching the return shuttle to the ship. The train cost €9. We actually found Marseille nicer than anticipated and we also bought lots of soap.
  15. We disembarked from reflection on Monday. The only main we really enjoyed was the beef short rib. The beef brochette was quite good, as was the oven roasted Turkey
  16. My husband misses the cheesecake from the always available menu.
  17. I would double check where the transfer leaves from. It used to be Tronchetto. You would have to get the people mover from P. Roma to Tronchetto so that would take additional time. The people mover station is at the opposite side of P. Roma from where you would come from Santa Lucia station.
  18. We were on Silhouette at the beginning of July and I couldn’t find real champagne anywhere. I didn’t like the substitute and ended up drinking Prosecco. I liked the rose Prosecco which I could only find at the Sunset Bar. We’ve already upgraded to Premium for our next cruise but thinking in future we may stick with the classic, especially as the cost has doubled to upgrade.
  19. We’ve sailed 3 times with Azamara in the last year. The balcony cabins are small and the bathrooms are tiny. In our opinion the food is better than Celebrity. Enjoy the option of the Patio Grill for a casual lunch or dinner. Being a smaller ship the entertainment is limited but the advantage of a small ship is the different ports it is able to visit.
  20. Whatsinport.com website has a lot of useful information. The 3 ports you mention have shuttle buses to the town. We didn’t use them in Stockholm and Tallinn as we walked to the town.
  21. Hoping to book an Alaska cruise for next year with Banff and the Rocky Mountaineer. Banff and Lake Louise look beautiful.
  22. I couldn’t get it last year when the price of our Australia cruise in March 24 dropped by over £350 pp. Ended up cancelling and rebooking with loss of £300 deposit. Also got more OBC when I rebooked.
  23. It’s usually dark anyway, except for our recent Scandinavian cruise.
  24. On the Silhouette in July we spotted Fever Tree in Craft Social. We asked for it in the Martini Bar and they had some kept out of sight.
