  1. Thanks for all the cabin photos. We’re looking at a cruise on Infinity for November this year. I haven’t been on her since 2019 when she seemed a bit worn. However going by your photos everything seems well maintained.
  2. We’ll be in Marseille on Reflection in September and might take the Petit Train. Does the cost of €8 cover the return trip?
  3. I believe that photo might have been posted from the Silhouette. As it is now sailing out of the U.K. gratuities are included with the price.

  5. We have a SV on deck 7 on Edge for next March. Unfortunately there are no other SV cabins we can move to. What time did the the music continue until?
  6. We had the same experience as you once and vowed never to repeat it. There was nowhere for suitcases and we had to sit with them on our knees. I think we might have got a commuter train instead of the fast train by mistake. We will be back in September and will book either a shared shuttle or private transfer.
  7. We’re planning on going with Tuscany Bus. The bus stop is just by where the ship shuttle drops you. You can book online. We thought this would be easier than the train.
  8. Great news. Hope they have it on our upcoming cruise. My husband will upgrade his drinks package so he can get Tanqueray 10 gin if there is Fever Tree to mix with it.
  9. Happy about that as that’s the main reason I’ll be upgrading my drink package next month!

    I’ve done ours for 25th March.
  12. I’m not sure this is true. Living in Scotland we fly to Europe frequently and often the earliest check in time is 2 hours before the flight and the latest check in time is 40 minutes prior. Last year in Venice we couldn’t even drop off our luggage until 2 hours prior.

  15. Yiu should try the limoncello spritz. Very popular when we stayed in Sorrento.
  16. We were on the inaugural cruise and we will be back onboard in March so glad to hear that things have improved!
  17. Looks like I’m in the minority but I’d miss the evening turn down. Really enjoy returning to our cabin late at night to find the curtains shut, lamps on and the chocolate and daily on the pillow. It’s one of the things which differentiate cruise travel from a resort. Yes, I can turn down my bed myself, but I can also cook, make my bed, clean the bathroom and do dishes, which I have no intention of doing on a cruise. We cruise to be looked after for a short period of time. if this service was eliminated on Celebrity, along with the other cutbacks, it would cause us to look elsewhere.

  19. Yes the Mediterranean cruises seem to have really shot up in price. They’ve always been more expensive than the Caribbean. That’s a great price you got for the 8 night cruise. Only problem is the air fare is so expensive.
  20. Is that each or for 2? We’re doing a similar 9 night cruise in September ‘23 on Reflection and paying about the same price for 2.

    No beach bags

    We didn’t get a bag or wallet on Onward in May but got them on Journey in September.
  22. I wouldn’t want to risk that, particularly in March when there is still a possibility of snow. We are sailing on Onward from Gran Canaria on 25th March and flying from Edinburgh 3 days earlier. The longer we escape the cold weather the better!
  23. There are a lot of good deals on the Scandinavian cruises from Southampton at the moment. We are paying about £400 less for 12 nights in July than we are paying for 9 nights Mediterranean cruise in September. We are also getting $850 OBC on the Scandinavian cruise compared to $300 on the Med cruise. There weren’t many balcony cabins left on the Silhouette when we booked so it can’t be down to slow bookings.
  24. I tried to call my TA today to see if they could help but there was a long wait time to speak to someone so I have sent them an email.
