  1. I think you are right about the machines but I remember 2 irons and boards.
  2. If that were the case they would just do away with the laundry room. No other line offers this service.
  3. I feel like I had one to many drinks and I haven't touched a drop.
  4. This statement couldn't be more valid. To add insult to injury guest services are going to be stuck putting out the fire. This is so typical of upper executives making poor marketing decisions without researching the logistics from those who work on the ship. Crown grill filled up on it's own when you had to pay the up charge.
  5. They have a long track record of consistently being inconsistent.
  6. All this tells me is to keep my Plus package. I was hoping with everyone buying the Premium package that the MDR food included restaurants would be less crowded.
  7. That makes sense but it doesn't allude to that.
  8. I don't think Princess specialty restaurants are all that great. I booked the Plus and won't use half of what that offers either but for the drinks, WiFi and gratuity it is well worth it.
  9. I just booked a Med cruise for May 2026. got 40% off plus I was able to add my adult son for free. The sale ended the next day. Deluxe Balconies are only showing a few available but I know I'm not beating a free passenger price even after final payment. I was actually surprised that he qualified due to his age. On Royal Caribbean only kid's sale free.
  10. You will be spending half or your trip on line at guest services.
  11. If the price is the same on board where are they discounting the original price from? Are they taking a page from Royal Caribbean'a and Celebrity's made up prices. Princess is more creative as the most I ever saved on either of those lines was 40% off of the fake price. Princess Premier Princess Plus $310 now $90. $153 now $60 save 71% Save 61%
  12. Not all Italian food is tomato sauce based. Marsala sauce originated in Sicily.
  13. I'm diabetic so no desert for me and my wife has a savory palate and never orders desert other then cheese cake once in a while. I live in a community with a state of the art gym and they offer classes that we don't use. I haven't taken ship photos in years and the ones that I paid for (actual pictures back in the day) are in a box some place. We are fine with the included offerings and probably won't even use the 2 casual dining meals offered in the plus package. Beverages, tips and WiFi are all we are looking for so the plus works out for us. I spend more than $60 on other lines just for drinks packages. Princess is a bargain and I hope it lasts. We left Princess 10yrs ago because Celebrity was offing a choice of any 3 items, Drinks, WiFi, $300 OBC or Gratuity. Now they offer just Classic drinks and basic WiFi for an up charge that ranges in price by itinerary. $60 is a bargain even if I don't use the other offerings.
  14. What exactly are casual meals in the plus package?
  15. That is not the type of chair that I would be comfortable in laying flat. The foot support is all wrong for that position. Thank you for providing this as it does now make sense and I am satisfied with this explanation.
  16. I have never read that. However the first cruise before dry dock and the first out of dry dock should be avoided because they will start work on that cruise and be finishing anything they couldn't finish.
  17. Add me to the idiot list as well. Not only do I travel with zip ties but I also cut the end on an angle. It's my way of knowing if anyone has removed and replaced the zip tie.
  18. You are the exception. Even my 92 year old father communicates via text and gets impatient if you don't reply right a way.
  19. Nobody communicates by email anymore. People use Wifi for streaming moves and using social media and text messaging. I'm looking at 500 unread emails in my mail box now which will be deleted unread because they are all solicitations. Even my bills come via a text message now.
  20. Being strapped down to a time limit in a lounge or at breakfast double fisting drinks isn't my idea of a benefit. Having the ability to have them where you want throughout the day has more appeal. I'm fine with the tea and coffee that everyone gets.
  21. I can't see this happening on Celebrity. People are already paying almost $90 just for the premium drink packages alone.
  22. Nothing scary here. I have sailed on Royal Caribbean and if the loyalty program is important to you then I will agree theirs is better than Celebrity. As far as the on board experience Royal Caribbean does have more Pay for restaurants but that's because the ships are cities and not cruise ships. You can't compare the Icon or Oasis class with the Edge class and be happy with Celebrity. Two different animals. These larger ships also have better entertainment. The smaller ships are more on par with Celebrity. Also Royal Caribbean does have a better drink package as it is all premium and Celebrity keeps diluting the premium offerings. Celebrity is for grown ups who want a certain itinerary that the Royal ships don't have access to due to size and Royal Caribbean is for families where the ship is the destination. Nothing new here.
  23. I'm not doing anything special with the WiFi. We may have send or receive text but that's it. I upgraded to Premium drink package for $8.99 which was still cheaper than if I purchased it at the prices they were offering even with a discount. So basically I paid $60 for premium and the wifi was a bonus. Right now the Premium is $88.99 I have seen it as low as $74.99
  24. Not always true. I figure out the daily charge and decide at booking if the math works for me. It worked out to be $51 a day for the AI. The lowest that it have been for just the drink package was $57. As I was checking for price drops on the cruise the AI price was going up as well as the basic cruise price. I booked it 30 days before final payment. I sail the end of Sept and the price as gone up even more after final payment.
