  1. Because communicable diseases never spread on cruise ships? 😊
  2. I am booked for this cruise, and it still shows up in my planner. Not sure why it is showing as no longer available for you.
  3. I think they attempt to heat the water in the jacuzzis, but they change out the water so often, it takes a long time to get them up to a warm temperature.
  4. We like Oh Andro's in Fish Fry. It was recommended to us by a member of the rock band on our cruise. Try the grilled snapper.
  5. I have never been in a Family Harbor room, but I know my kids loved the kids clubs and met lots of friends when they were that age.
  6. Depends on the booking code. Usually not.
  7. If you consider doing laundry entertainment, you are welcome to come over to my house anytime. 😄
  8. I wasn't trying to upset you. When I travel I try not to worry about things that I don't have to worry about, and I was letting people know that this is one of them. 😀
  9. As an aside, there is really no need to know where your muster station is beforehand, You just ask the first crew member you see onboard. They all know where the muster stations are, and they encourage everyone to visit theirs as soon as they get on the ship.
  10. It can keep charging those outrageous prices as long as people are willing to pay them.
  11. If it means anything, I have been following this board for awhile and I don't recall anyone bringing this issue up before. I have also never heard of anyone getting "hacked" on the ship, either. If you want to steal data by hacking a network, it would be pretty inefficient to do it on a cruise ship app that has very little (if any) valuable information.
  12. I am guessing that it all evens out eventually. You just notice the cards you "should" have gotten more. But if you have 10 and the person next to you draws a 5 on a 17, and your card ends up being an Ace, his bad play did you a favor.
  13. Carnival didn't know. It was luck of the draw, I assume.
  14. That’s not always the case. My daughter recently went on her first cruise in a decade (she was a new Gold card, her boyfriend was Blue) and they had first seating in the MDR. They didn't ask for any special arrangements, and they got a 4-top to themselves right by the window. Sometimes it's just luck.
  15. The last time we cruised over Thanksgiving, we each ordered an entree that was not the traditional turkey dinner (IIRC it was basically an elegant night menu), and got a plate of turkey "for the table". I don't think we were the only ones who did that.
  16. I think your best bet would be in the MDR or specialty restaurants and ask which foods can be prepared without salt. Pretty sure you are going to be SOL at the buffet, except for perhaps the omelet station.
  17. That depends on your bartender. In theory, they are required to open it, but YMMV. The exception would be if you purchased a bucket of beers.
  18. Correct. That's if you check the box. If you don't check the box, you will get your own table.
  19. You can indicate that you don't want to be seated with other guests at the time you check in with the Hub app
  20. I am not sure I am going to still be alive 3 1/2 years from now. 😂
  21. I only use carry-on luggage, and I have been on cruises for as long as 21 days. First of all, you only need to pack one dress whether it is one elegant night or two. No one is going to care (or even notice) that you are wearing the same one for both nights, Biggest packing room saver - cut down on shoes! I normally wear a pair of athletic shoes, and then pack one pair of casual shoes, a pair of flip flops, and a pair of dressy sandals.
  22. Whether they have trillions of dollar in debt, or they are making trillions of dollars of profit, they are going to charge as much as they think they can get on every single item on your cruise. That is the way any successful business works - trying to determine areas where they can be more profitable and capitalizing on it. In no scenario will Carnival (or any other cruiseline) say at their executive meetings, "You know what? We have been making a lot of money in the casino, but since we have paid off all of our debt, let's be nice and loosen up the slot machines and make the odds better on our blackjack and roulette tables, so that icft can come out ahead." They wanted your money before Covid, and they want it now. No one is forcing you to gamble.
