  1. BTW....I also was in a position to 'assist' others from the 'side of my desk' (office). Gave me great satisfaction to help, but inevitably I became the 'go to' person thereafter.
  2. Problem? None, except you're anonymous; I'm trusting and I totally accept your word...cheeky devil 🥸.
  3. I'm assuming you're an excellent employee, helpful, patient and a font of information 😉.
  4. I think posters understand OP-s upset re cabin change ... it's the choice of words used, especially aimed at ship staff with no pre-cruise control.
  5. Prosecutor, Defense, and Judge all in one! Left out witness...assuming you have been in an IV cabin.
  6. Omitted....the "should I/shouldn't I tip (extra/not extra) horse?
  7. We have friends b/b on the same G/I Summit cruise. Looking forward to your info; hoping numbers don't correlate to covid for their (and your) sake.
  8. Did you ever find out what the 'kitchen issues' were? Perhaps the many staff tested positive....that would certainly create chaos. I've found Tuscan to be very consistent pre covid. Haven't sailed since Dec. 2019 but looking forward to our Tuscan dinner first night sail away from FLL.
  9. Equinox Suite Cabin just as I remember it...but Michaels (or Retreat lounge now) sure has changed. Good to see but I did like the dingy coziness of the former...LOL.
  10. Oh well. We needed a negative, whiny post on this otherwise nice, positive thread or the monitors will close it down. Some just can't stand 'nice'...LOL. BTW...you do not sound whiny in this post...I would say realistic. To that I can add...."once you've enjoyed steak, you don't want hamburger"....sorry, but I still like both on different occasions.....
  11. You couldn't mean 3 pages of 'where/when to put on your luggage tags'?? LOL. I expect you'll enjoy your Edge cruise...a beautiful ship on a wonderful itinerary. OP may have set the tone for more upbeat commentary.
  12. I must say you drew me in with your TITLE; I immediately thought...oh no, another slam thread. I had just finished discussing with DH how social media, with its anonymity, has been creating a nasty element on CC. It is SO NICE to read a positive post. Very happy you enjoyed your cruise. Celebrity has been our 'go to' for many cruises as, like you, our first sailing with them (after many other cruise lines) was such an enjoyable experience.
  13. We have had 3 great CVP's over many years with X, one of which waived a change fee for us. I can't remember the circumstance, but I think the cruise was booked onboard and it was non-refundable which, if changed, invokes the $100 pp. The amount appeared on our new cruise booking confirmation and I questioned it. It was waived and we rec'd a new booking confirmation. I appreciate our circumstances may be different but I was only trying to help.
  14. Used the spa just once....tipped generously not realizing the gratuity was already on the bill....not everyone knows how this is set up.
  15. If you can support that you have already paid these change fees on prior cruises, I'd escalate it to the Engagement Centre, and if no satisfaction then higher up to the president's office....email address is floating around in CC posts so perhaps do a search if required. The offshore staff is still being 'educated'.
  16. Thanks Jim....it may be they revised their pricing as another poster said; as all is open to view now. I just didn't check the pricing before it disappeared.
  17. Thx......just checked and all availability is restored.
  18. I use a European site to check cabin availability and the message reads all cabin bookings are unavailable for the Nov. '23 cruise I've booked with X. Perhaps too early for their pricing? Never seen this before.
  19. Thanks for your personal response. I enjoyed all 20+ minutes of your 'comments' on Equinox, even though they expressed some negativity. As we've sailed her in 2010, 2013, and 2018 I wondered if the partial reno had revitalized her somewhat. Your video was/is quite professional along with the many, many other travel experiences you post on Utube. In that regard it seemed you had marketing reasons for your opinions on the various ships, so I apologize for jumping to conclusions. Seeing the cabin in its entirety explains more than the few issues the video pointed out and I thank you for posting those pics. I still hold the opinion that the partial bed linen change is not flattering when all else is as it was; the cabin does seem tired (which should be expected after all the usage it's received over 12+ years. Hopefully we won't be disappointed when we board her again this November.
  20. I've heard the Captain has control of the IV windows if bad weather....did you find it closed on occasion or at night?
  21. Still looks fresh and clean after all these years. X does try to 'keep up'...time takes it's toll eventually.
  22. Thanks for the pics...I'm assuming now that concierge class will have been updated. Happy to see the original chairs on the balcony. The railings need repair but that doesn't affect my vacation enjoyment...LOL.
  23. Have you tried calling them? They advertise for Canadian travellers. We have their policy (company sponsored) and they have great coverage.
