  2. Not for me. Logged in and out several times, rebooted, etc. Had to clear the cookie which had too many bytes taken out of it...🙂
  3. I couldn't get in until clearing the particular 'X' cookie so either my browser or security was blocking. Yes, we knew there was a break in their system, not an upgrade...LOL. Whatever the reason, this is how technology flows and these instances are to be expected. It's nice the OP thought enough to try to help those who had concerns.
  4. Still....I/we were knocked off the log in system and the 'old' cookie didn't work to let us back in. The OP was helpful in that they gave the hint to remove the old in order to input the new. And...I highly doubt 'every single CC'r reported'....would have caused another log in problem for CC this time and maybe a crash....😅...LOL. BTW...it wasn't only those on this message board who couldn't access, anyone looking for info or booking a cruise was OFL (nicer way of saying S*L).
  5. In one case, I disagree....no bribing (or system) at our golf club! Would be an insult for the member to do so AND to the server that he/she would accept it. And on board, we saw one person try to 'palm' a few $$s to the hostess for a seating favour and was immediately told 'we don't require that sir'. That person waited in line like everyone else. IMO a tip at the end of your meal or cruise to those who have helped you is more in keeping than bribery. Having said all that, I also know of 'someone' who was shown to a front banquette at a show in LVegas and also to a prime table at a 'fully booked' high end restaurant using the $$s 'system'...LOL....so some places don't mind a little financial assistance being offered. 😉
  6. I just tested the site...it let me right back in. I indicated on the first sign-in...."remember me". The cookie was reset...just checked that also. Hope this helps (and works for you...🙂)

  8. I'm inclined to think it's a staff shortage; they're doing their best with what they have. No business willingly chooses to upset their clients IMO.
  9. We have a bid on an SS for our Nov. cruise which starts at $1300 Canadian $$s. Only 2 suites left unsold so little chance we'll have our bid accepted. The lower opening bids happen when there are many unsold cabins. Suites seem to be in demand with many using their FCC's from prior cancelled covid cruises.

  11. This happened to us on our way to a cruise as well. We had ample time for the connection through Toronto, but our plane was held in the air to allow larger flights to arrive from South America (so we were told). Large number of passengers getting through security and no one made exception for our now boarding flight. We literally ran to the gate (OJ? I even took my shoes off so I could run faster....LOL) but the door had just closed. We begged 🥲 our way on and the pilot (I think) reopened and allowed us in. Our luggage however did NOT make it; we were without our bags for 3 days when they finally caught up at a port. So even with time enough between flights was allowed, anything can happen to delay. Due to family constraints, this was the only time we flew same day as the cruise and a big lesson learned.

  13. Super lovely! When in a sky suite we had a table like that.....I brought a round tablecloth from home just in case they didn't provide one. I hope those tables haven't been replaced with the knee high ones I keep seeing in posters photos.
  14. Do you have any insight as to what "pending" really means? Is it 'under consideration' or 'all bids when made are pending so don't get your hopes up...LOL? TIA....

  16. I know...... the price has increased almost double. I booked when they first opened reservations for 2022....US $337, now US $500 approx. Converting that to Cdn. it's increased dramatically. In 2019 I paid $US 235, before reno...LOL.
  17. What is your feel for the Hilton Marina? Stayed there often but not since renovation. I understand there's no restaurant as they had in the past for b'fast? If you know, I'd appreciate your opinion.
  18. I just input our travel data on the Arrive Can app with a mock date as a test, and mistakenly went through to the 'submit' feature. Now I can't go back and erase the incorrect arrival time in the app. Will this be on file and the border personnel will be looking for us to arrive on that flight or will this be ignored as I didn't complete the health portion of the submission? I didn't receive a receipt so I'm thinking it might be erased when the flight date passes? Any thoughts on this?

  20. Yes....all are entitled, including the poster who just wants a polite answer. There's a time and place and lots of opportunity to direct the snide stab at most of us...I take it all in fun but IMO it's not quite right to point the sarcasm at an innocent query and get 'laughs' at their expense.   22. I've been wondering, and if you know,.....if I have AI and bev pkg included is standard, if I want to upgrade to Premium do they factor in the price I've already paid for AI bev pkg? The website quotes $99 pp per day (Cdn)...that seems high if we've already paid for AI?
  23. Thank you for posting. Reminiscing ..... a wonderful cruise on her many years ago....my teen daughter and myself being part of a fashion show around the pool....dancing in the small cabaret....enjoying the close at hand shows and fine dining. Intimacy that's gone now.
  24. There are some new posters who don't have the time you do to follow the boards to the extent you do, and would like an answer to their question without sarcasm or judgement, about anything, including tips. My tip to you....find a soft padded room..feel free to bang away.
