  1. Agree, check both. Not Bermuda but 30-35yrs ago would see Dozen's of Caribbean Passengers Carry on their Clubs to Cabin. Not saying they don't as sure some do but I personally haven't seen that myself since 90's.
  2. Over last 30 yrs seen that multiple times and years ago there was a Reg B2B Discount. Now, not likely. Post 9/11 threw Spring 2002 many Cruises were almost Free and wish could have stayed on lot longer then I did. Besides 2001-2002 the prices I paid this last yr were about lowest Royal ever offered for my usual Sailings/Cabins
  3. Depends on the Ship/Class. Did 7 Thanksgivings Pre-CV 2010-2019 on Brilliance or Serenade. Doing usually longer Cruises they had about 1800-2050 is sticking in my head, this when they hold 2100 double and 2500 in all Berths. These Longer sailings had 50-75 Kids at most.
  4. Good idea, reason for that is longer then 2-3wks Request can be lost or changed by one made closer to Sailing. Did several Enchantment Cruises and was first one took my 3 Kids on in 1998. Love this and Radiance Classes. Enjoy!
  5. Yup, been Carrying Dt Dew onto Royal Ships for about 30yrs myself. When did NCL Cruises one thing liked was they had Vending Machines onboard with these same 16.9oz bottles of Pepsi product's...
  6. Only seen Ceiling on other Jewel Decks, should be the same. Anyone seen different?
  7. Thanks, forgot this is Possible. Have a Check in a different time Zone next month
  8. Yes, per Cabin you can Carry On a 12 pack Max of 17oz ea, Cans or Bottles, Water or Pop. I also carry on Bottles of 16.9oz Mt Dew. Beats the 12-12oz cans for size.
  9. Think was 1998 for me, also first time brought all my 3 Kids. Back then Diamonds were first in group off/on Ship and though no Diamond Lounge we had access to Concierge Lounge. Some change is real good, Cruising is lot cheaper now and with SOLO 340+ plus multiple Military Discounts Royal offers. On Panama Canal 16n next yr, Solo in a Balcony/Aft is 35% cheaper then my first 80's 7n Caribbean Cruise for 2 in an OV Cabin
  10. I first made Diamond, on the then New-ish Enchantment, there wasn't a thing called the Diamond Lounge. Back then at most we had 6-10 Diamonds on Largest Ships doing popular Cruises. Right before CV on my Cruises the Diamond Lounge had to expand using 3 other Ship Lounges during Happy Hour
  11. Funny you should say that. First made Diamond Decades ago so thats not an issue, but during Conversion I'm one the Few that lost out on Points. This after Royal also had no History of my First Cruises from 80's. I saved all my Cruise Paperwork, sent them Copies and got Missing Cruises Straight, but am still shorted Points on Conversion. Oh Well, unless a new Top Tier Level is Created and I'm short a few Points doesn't matter
  12. Agree, same here, CV and Low Bookings the Discount was available to me many times that wouldnt have been in yrs past. Unfortunately most those Cruises I Booked were canceled
  13. Did B4B 8+ wks ago on Jewel, lots of Vests as said only for onboard use on Ship. Ship/Class also has nice smaller Kid Pool & Slide though can't remember min Height for Slide use and also has limited hrs of operation... Congrats on Training, a life changing moment
  14. Royal Caribbean WJ years ago was more Formal at nite inc Waiters, Table Clothes, Candles. Could order off Menu. No Swimsuits, etc allowed even during daytime. Though on Sea Days a Barbecue Lunch was served by the Pool for those didnt want get changed eat in WJ. For every 2 Chairs on open Decks they had small table, nice to put plates/drinks on and keep things off the Floor
  15. Agree, always price multiple ways. Even had one Cruise Cheaper for me with two passengers then SOLO 340+ where I Booked a Person not going with me. This w/o a Guarantee
  16. Lucky so far Airfare same or Cheaper for my Cruises couple months ago and my Flights this Sept, Oct, Nov
  17. Two Decades ago Royal had 3/4/5 nite Cruises and I did the 5 nite with Coco Cay, Nassau, Key West and a SLOOOOW Sea Day. Paid $59ea for OV, total $118 for the 2 of us Even cost get there, 20hrs each way in Full Size Vehicle was less then $100 Gas RT with price less then $1 a Gallon. Cost for Cruise and Gas paid for with rolled coins from my Change Jar.
  18. Agree, Buffet Food the Taste and Selection goes to Royal over NCL
  19. Yes like the Casino, The House always Wins
  20. Though have seen Cruisers stopped walking together trying to Carry 12each instead of per Cabin. This in April out of Miami and 2.5yrs ago out of Boston trying it with 2each Bottles of Wine, this where they even counted my 12 Pop Bottles
  21. Ha, yeah! Can remember first time as a Single Father took my Wee Ones on Cruise. Was sitting at a table in WJ with my 4yr old, my 7yr old walked with a Tray when the heavy china plates shifted, SMASH! Tiny pieces everywhere... Interesting Trip, Kids got Noro, we were at Nassau as Straw Market Burned down and got home early am on 9/11/01.
  22. Windjammer had Trays for Decades, funny thing is they had China not Plastic plates/Bowls back then.
  23. In April the Doors were Closed in evenings on Jewel. Daughter/SIL said Food there was Fantastic. She's been Cruising Royal for 25+ yrs since she was 6. Just asked her, 9:30pm Meal sitting middle of room and no noticeable noise
  24. Can see it now, if used another Extra Charge. Just grateful haven't been on a Royal Ship in 20+ yrs that had more then 1750-2050 Passengers with me and only once in 35yrs wasn't one first 10-100 onboard
  25. 4000-6000+ Tests in 5 hrs, sounds like a nightmare to me
