  1. Wow - this sale is bizarre. When I received the first email I went and checked on our Feb 2024 cruise and found that the new sale price was $500 more than it was last month. I looked again today and the fare is up $620 from yesterday!!! Can I have another please.....
  2. It may not apply although when I clicked through it took me to our Feb 2024 cruise - which is now $1,300 more than when we booked and $500 more than it was 3 weeks ago...
  3. I second what was already said. We booked an excursion ahead of time using OBC and the 10% refund showed up on our account when we got on board.
  4. We'll experience it with you - we're on the same cruise 🙂
  5. We booked a cruise about the same time and caught the same kind of deal - and I didn't even realize it until I went to look for a possible reduction a few months later and saw the price was $1500 more than what we paid for the 11 day cruise. Essentially we got the "Plus" package free along with a nice discount. We'll enjoy it over Christmas 🙂
  6. We have the "Plus" package on our two upcoming cruises so not really an issue for us. We have never considered modifying the payment - the only thing we modify is the extra tips if we feel they were warranted.
  7. Princess is increasing their "crew incentive" by a little over 10% next week.
  8. I wonder if it will be possible, assuming you had the appropriate package, to stop by the theater early and leave a beach towel on a chair to reserve it???
  9. I had noticed something about the coupon book - haven't seen one in years. So I went to our Feb 2024 booking and sure enough it's listed in the Travel Summary for both my DW and myself - listed value is $0.....sounds about right.
  10. Same here after 23 cruises - and - we never knew anyone that had luggage missing.
  11. And if it applies, like it does for me, once I buy my five - my wife can also buy five 🙂
  12. As a follow up the bracelet arrived Saturday and we received the medallions yesterday (Monday).
  13. You've seen them enforce the "guidelines????" In 17 Princess cruises we haven't.
  14. On our cruise on 30 Sep they had people at the door, I had my green lane printed out so they could see it, we were wearing our Elite medallions and they pointed us to a walkway where we proceeded onto the ship - no health questionnaire, no nothing - we were in our cabin 10 minutes later!
  15. We just received an email from Princess making sure we knew our next cruise was leaving in 2 weeks 🙂 But what caught my eye was the ad for Formal Nights - or Dress to Impress. I could imagine hearing several heads exploding if they saw it 🙂 Just in case my attachment doesn't show up - it shows a couple strolling on the ship - he has an open collar, no tie :-) Doc1.docx
  16. Same with our 30 Sep British Isles cruise - we were never given one and never asked for one.
  17. I feel so bad for your friends - as you said a once in a lifetime trip and to have it end like that is just a shame. I hope they aren't too discouraged and go ahead and get passports and make the cruise sometime soon!
  18. Had to laugh. This thread made me decide to got to ebay to see what was available. The first listing I saw was for two "scarce" Princess Platinum level medallions for only $66!!! There really is one born every day 🙂
  19. On our Oct cruise we had requested a table for 2 at the same time each night. We never got the same table twice - but we didn't care and didn't ask to have the same one so I don't know if they would have accommodated it had we asked. We never had to wait or stand in line. I'm sure like pretty much everything Princess - your mileage may vary!
  20. A name from the past 🙂 Can't answer the question but Capt "Crash" Nash was the Captain on our 2004 Alaska cruise where we had a run in with a concrete pier and missed Victoria and limped back to Seattle 🙂 We have cruised with him since then as well - and good to hear he is still with Princess. Edited to note he is now Commodore Nash - the 7th one ever to hold that rank.
  21. And it's funny - we were just in Europe on a cruise and were told ahead of time that tipping was not normal. No one told all the tour operators that - and pretty much everyone had a hand out. Not a problem but I was glad I took extra "tip" money with me 🙂
