  1. Sailed out about an hour and a half late. We’re rocking a bit with the heavy winds down here. Captain did say he’ll have the stabilizers out the next 2 days
  2. We are onboard. Embarkation is was a breeze and we were through the terminal in about 10 minutes. Tons of supplies still on the dock so don’t see us leaving on time. Here is the day 1 patter.
  3. We were on the Conquest for a 3 day Nassau/ “fun” day at sea
  4. Couple of notes as we celebrate my birthday today. 1. Carnival Cruise… first one ever and it cemented everything I had come to know and believe about Carnival. Was a complete nightmare of contestant noise and just general chaos. Lines for everything, people screaming and yelling up and down the halls all hours of the day, couple face plants… yep lived up to expectations. Ship itself was nice and didn’t have any direct issues with service but the crowd onboard was just beyond rowdy being a holiday weekend… if it wasn’t for my company events and coworkers onboard we probably would have just hid in the room the entire 3 days. Couple pics down below. 2. Flight back to NAS - super super easy, you are in the air less than 30 minutes. Stayed out at SandyPort Beach Resort to avoid the chaos of Atlantis and paradise island and it was perfect. If you ever find yourself needing a quiet place and can bite the $80 cost for the flight from Miami I’d highly recommend Caribbean Princess is in port today. Will watch it sail out later
  5. Hey Everyone! Starting up this live from thread as we embark on our 15 day Panama adventure. We booked this cruise over a year and a half ago and have been really looking forward to it for quite some time and it got enhanced a few months ago when my work announced a conference down here in Miami and a company retreat on a Carnival cruise last week. That meant not just flying out here and jumping on the ship back to LA but getting to extend and bridge the gap between that and this cruise by flying back to the Bahamas and escape the winter cold. This cruise will be amazing contrast after what we just experienced on a “fun” ship… We are all checked in at the W Ft Lauderdale now as we wait to board on Monday. The Sky Princess was in this afternoon as we made our way from MIA and got to watch it sail out around 3:30. Will post more later this evening. Hope you follow along on this adventure with us!
  6. I’ve voiced it before and I think it will be true. C2 cabanas will have tall glass so no railing to look out over
  7. We are booked all the way forward on the reserve deck. Our rooms don’t have anyone walking in front so you aren’t necessarily locked into having that occur by booking one
  8. Looks like they actually moving quick. Was worried with the additional sea days inserted in there would be days where the ship would barely be moving
  9. Was able to get logged in after letting it sit for a few minutes. Seems the servers are a bit overwhelmed... Whats new
  10. Just booked the 60th Anniversary cruise. Having the two overnights will be nice and going to Loreto is always a treat.
  11. Honestly my favorite ship left in the fleet. I seek out itineraries onboard. Super well maintained ship (better than the Caribbean which I just got off) and never feels overly crowded
  12. Received a range of mini bottles. I do have some mini Grey Goose bottles still sitting in the kitchen that I got off one of the initial Discovery cruises from 2021. Any cruise that drops off in LA I usually end up taking the minibar off the ship with me
  13. Well its official, my worst fears came true looks like its tall glass all the way around the cabana deck including the cabana rooms forward. Really didn't want to be in a fishbowl on my balcony
  14. Submit it as a fidelity, it goes into single file upload mode
  15. I got approved sending a screenshot of only the page containing # of shares that I redacted all personal information from
  16. Wait till you are onboard... usually they add extra buses to the sold out ones
  17. Damn I hate how that material feels on bare feet. Guess will leave flip flops by the patio door for our Panama cruise in Jan
  18. Question in regards to the balconies. Do all of them still have the blue plastic on the floor (if you can look down towards dolphin deck) or have they removed them like they have on the Sapphire and Caribbean from the minisuites?
  19. Grew up going to the kids and teen activities on Princess and its part of why I love cruising so much as an adult
  20. There are always pre-auth charges on the card. Usually after the cruise they all go away and then whatever is on the final bill comes in as a separate charge
  21. Packages work until you get off. I am part of the baileys with coffee on disembarkation morning crew and never been charged
  22. I've paid the 10 to get them shipped for 2 of my recent cruises. Well worth it IMO to be able to just walk right on pretty much
