  1. Never taken it…. However, the ship will probably be the powered Cat ‘Elegance’. As a “Ship” tour the boat will be rammed with 50/60 pax (sometimes even more to max out the ship profits). Not the usual number of pax for their own tours. On this ship tour one is usually guaranteed noise, drunks, embarrassing (booze cruise) behaviour etc.. If one wishes to do a circumnavigation in a small party, with adrenaline, then consider https://adventureantigua.com/activities/the-xtreme-circumnav/ Book early as space is limited…..
  2. Plenty of cabs from quayside, Taxi Fares …… work on “Darkwood Rate” Taxi Fares ……https://www.antiguanice.com/v2/documents/Taxi and tour fares - ABTB final.pdf Outward driver will be pleased to be booked for the timed return.
  3. Travel savvy? For what it’s worth. I was a Shotokan 2nd, and competed. I would stay on the ship.
  4. No idea….. would not give any advice….. except STAY ON THE SHIP
  5. If one feels the need to go for a walk, then wear a full suit of body armour a Kevlar mask, helmet and carry a pair of fully loaded XM556
  6. Fact…. Friends thought to go “outside” the dock area to buy a Burger from a well known establishment. On exit of the burger bar, wallet, cash, credit cards, Wife’s watch robbed at gun point. All in daylight. Police and witnesses not interested. STAY ON THE SHIP!!!!!!!
  7. To assist, a screenshot of website showing a view from the ship of the Emporium. Note the side streets left/right with market stalls…..
  8. One can see the market stalls from the ship, along the quayside and up through the side streets. Opposite the ship is a Duty Free Emporium (building with green shutters, steps leading up to the entrance door), where inside are displays selling a great variety of leather goods, gifts, liquor, souvenirs and local crafts.
  9. Think the admission fee includes transport there and return. Book one’s visit online https://chukka.com/destinations/barbados/harrisons-cave/
  10. Try Charles (Charlie’s Angels) - phone number. 340 514 5000. It’s been a few years since, but consider him the best. Good Luck
  11. Out of courtesy one will let @TTEllis know of you kind efforts and the posting same. Todd is always seeking advice on AI’s
  12. Thank you for sharing with CC Looks good value for a couple US$ 130 plus cab (50 return) = US180 - US$ 90 pp As a rough guide, to convert EC into US$ - Divide by 2 - Then deduct 20% eg. EC 10 = US$ 4
  13. If seeking a “total” tour of the island, including many sights, beaches, snorkelling, lunch, drinks, stingrays etc., then consider - https://adventureantigua.com/activities/the-xtreme-circumnav/

  16. Take it as being the ducks and the “leavers”. Excellent idea…..
  17. First the dumbing down of the Dress Code, now this!
  18. Anguilla is a British Territory, so bring one’s Passport. There is a Custom’s border control, also a small visitor fee is payable in cash (can’t remember the amount but was insignificant). Passports for foreigners used to be stamped, but don’t know if this is still done. Note to self… bring Passport otherwise back on the next ferry (probably the one arrived on).
  19. Yes…. Booking site - https://www.stmartinbookings.com/anguilla-ferry
  20. If one wishes to spend a day at Kalinago, suggest one books a day pass direct with the resort and takes a cab. The resort will have cabs for the return from rank, also one’s outward driver will be happy to be timed booked for the return to ship. Have no idea on the cost of a day pass. The cab fares are Government set, being displayed by the rank/captain’ kiosk in the terminal. But work on US$25 each way (per cab not per pax).
  21. Just noted….. Best to bring one’s own French Press and cruise supply of good coffee.
  22. Taxi to Red Hook say 30 minutes Ferry crossing time - 20 minutes (just miss 1 wait 30 minutes) = max of 50 minutes Ride fro Cruz Bay to Beaches - say 15 minutes (disembarking and taxi wait say 5 minutes) Ride back to ship - 40 minutes (heavy traffic) Best to allow a comfortable 2 hours there and 2.5 hours back Book tickets online as the ticket office queue may be long, plus ship you aim for may sell out Link https://stjohnticketing.com/schedules/
  23. Alternative TTE TTE Protocol is to just rock up, big smile, approach desk, flash cash, don’t tell them one is from Carnival (lie), take lift, press down, set up a bar tab, enjoy.
  24. Just take a taxi minivan. Plenty available from port, Orient and Maho. Consider COCO on Orient. Best to book in advance to ensure a party set-up for beds. https://www.cocobeach.restaurant
  25. Yes - Book direct.. Use this contact address for availability, day prices (rooms available), as it is monitored by hotel management. Or call.. reservation@stkittsmarriott.com
