Never taken it…. However, the ship will probably be the powered Cat ‘Elegance’. As a “Ship” tour the boat will be rammed with 50/60 pax (sometimes even more to max out the ship profits). Not the usual number of pax for their own tours.
On this ship tour one is usually guaranteed noise, drunks, embarrassing (booze cruise) behaviour etc..
If one wishes to do a circumnavigation in a small party, with adrenaline, then consider

Outward driver will be pleased to be booked for the timed return.
Fact…. Friends thought to go “outside” the dock area to buy a Burger from a well known establishment. On exit of the burger bar, wallet, cash, credit cards, Wife’s watch robbed at gun point. All in daylight. Police and witnesses not interested. STAY ON THE SHIP!!!!!!!
One can see the market stalls from the ship, along the quayside and up through the side streets. Opposite the ship is a Duty Free Emporium (building with green shutters, steps leading up to the entrance door), where inside are displays selling a great variety of leather goods, gifts, liquor, souvenirs and local crafts.

Looks good value for a couple US$ 130 plus cab (50 return) = US180 - US$ 90 pp
As a rough guide, to convert EC into US$ - Divide by 2 - Then deduct 20%
eg. EC 10 = US$ 4

Anguilla is a British Territory, so bring one’s Passport. There is a Custom’s border control, also a small visitor fee is payable in cash (can’t remember the amount but was insignificant). Passports for foreigners used to be stamped, but don’t know if this is still done.
Note to self… bring Passport otherwise back on the next ferry (probably the one arrived on).
If one wishes to spend a day at Kalinago, suggest one books a day pass direct with the resort and takes a cab. The resort will have cabs for the return from rank, also one’s outward driver will be happy to be timed booked for the return to ship.
Have no idea on the cost of a day pass. The cab fares are Government set, being displayed by the rank/captain’ kiosk in the terminal. But work on US$25 each way (per cab not per pax).
Taxi to Red Hook say 30 minutes
Ferry crossing time - 20 minutes (just miss 1 wait 30 minutes) = max of 50 minutes
Ride fro Cruz Bay to Beaches - say 15 minutes (disembarking and taxi wait say 5 minutes)
Ride back to ship - 40 minutes (heavy traffic)
Best to allow a comfortable 2 hours there and 2.5 hours back
Book tickets online as the ticket office queue may be long, plus ship you aim for may sell out

Alternative TTE
TTE Protocol is to just rock up, big smile, approach desk, flash cash, don’t tell them one is from Carnival (lie), take lift, press down, set up a bar tab, enjoy.
Just take a taxi minivan. Plenty available from port, Orient and Maho.
Consider COCO on Orient. Best to book in advance to ensure a party set-up for beds. https://www.cocobeach.restaurant
