  1. Contact….. http://www.lawrenceofantigua.com They will give destination details of tours available together with prices.
  2. Sorry, should have been more specific. One’s driver from the port cab rank will be pleased to be booked for the return. Just confirm the place and time. Usually the driver will arrive at the agreed pickup point early to put one’s mind at rest.
  3. Xtreme - https://adventureantigua.com/activities/the-xtreme-circumnav/ Stingray City only - http://www.stingraycityantigua.com - Think the price was (5 years ago) about $60 per adult and $50 for a child - Best to add $10 to each fare as a guide
  4. The driver on one’s outward journey from port to Orient will very happy to be booked for the return.
  5. The seafood sharing platter in Verandah. Favourite Cocktail is Cancer (star sign) cocktail.
  6. About 1.5 miles - No more than 10 minutes by taxi with heavy port traffic. There are better hotel choices - But one pays the money and makes the choice of where to stay.
  7. At back of one’s mind seemed to recall an Amtrak Station had a storage facility, so googled and got… https://www.amtrak.com/baggage-services
  8. IOHO - contact Christopher (Leo’s Tours and Taxi Service) for a bespoke tour to one’s timeframe, pace and destination requirements. christopherom95@gmail.com
  9. It’s closed because it changed hands, it’s now know as Bateliere Beach Club, part of the Bateliere Hotel. Best to contact the Hotel direct for Day Pass options. Or Contact Club Med about Les Boucaniers in Martinique, they offer a Day Pass. We paid under €100.00 pp and had a great stay. Give them a call to exactly price fir Ines dates. Taxi took about 45 minutes there and 1 hour back (heavy traffic) with a price of €50 for the taxi each way. On return, allow an extra 30 minutes to stock up on some fabulous Rhums (La Filbuste etc.) from the quayside duty free. 10 minutes to browse, if one doesn’t know what to purchase, then up to 20 minutes to queue to pay.
  10. https://www.elegancebarbados.com https://silvermoonbarbados.com Book early, repeat early, as space is limited to a maximum of 12 pax per large Cat. Check one’s ship’s arrival to correspond with sailing times of each operator. Transport to/from is included. There will be no disappointment, one will wish to repeat the experience.
  11. Breakfast/Brunch at Sweetfield Manor…. Sweetfield could also arrange one’s transportation for 7 Give them a call…….
  12. Additional - Remember Fort de France is a fully working French town/port, think Calais. It’s not what one may perceive as being the usual Caribbean island port/town, such as St.Johns Antigua. There is a main thoroughfare, about 5 minutes from town pier, with shops etc., with other outlets down side streets off. There is also a large Carrefour supermarket 15/20 minutes walk north of the town port. As Martinique is actually part of France, the shop prices are identical to, sometimes higher, those found in a main town in France. If making a high value purchase, then ask for a Tax Free form (Passport required), drop off the tax reclaim firm at the port Customs office.
  13. Nothing of note at TI…. Contact Karambole Tours, they have great tour offerings https://www.karamboletoursmartinique.com On return one must pickup a few bottles of La Favorite La Filbuste from the quayside Duty Free, being a perfect way to round off a wonderful day with Karambole.
  14. Apologies, DW got confused with another island, thinking it was Grenada. The only tour where a special area is made for toddlers is Stingray City.

    which beach

It used to be Fort James…… That was 4 years ago….May have changed. No doubt CC will give the current beach destination.
  16. Think the Italian definition of a Queen or King is probably be the width of two singles pushed together. However, knowing Singer Palace will always seek to accommodate their guests requirements, so suggest an Email exchange. welcome@singerpalacehotel.com
  17. Not at all…… You’re the valued guest and whatever one wishes to do “no problem”. Anyway, one can have a drink or two on casting off, as alcohol is correctly denied prior to snorkelling. Enjoy…..
  18. Just out of interest, Googled “walking around St John’s Antigua” and many video suggestions given. What was the search engine used that drew a blank?
  19. Try the home of the Pina Colada….. Barrachina ….. 8 minures walk from Pier 1
  20. Welcome… @MrsPeel55 has discovered first hand the difference between a Cunard Voyage and a cruise. One’s personal perspective. A Voyage on Cunard is a genteel sea perambulation where Cunarders enjoy all the experiences offered by a Queen and its Cunarders, which involves calling at interesting places for Cunarders to experience. In a nutshell, a Cunard Voyage is the bringing together various wonderful and diverse experiences. A cruise, is taking a holiday tour, which involves the conveyance, not by a coach, but by a ship, from one place to another.
  21. Additional thought…. Speak with Sweetfield, declare interest and ask if there is anything they can do, as they may be able to do something. Also, between now and staying, there may be a cancellation which one could be the first in line to take. Anyway it’s good to talk…
  22. Next “Boutique” pick…… https://www.littlearches.com For the future, make note to self…… Nice small boutique hotels (reasonably priced) do sell out early. PS… Cruise friends have stayed at Yellow Bird… Simple, clean and reasonably priced https://www.yellowbirdbarbados.com
  23. If requiring a lower price point than B’s then consider https://restauranteraices.com/?page_id=132 Traditional OSJ -
