  1. Anyone been in 8041 on Onward? Any comments? We have it booked for Bordeaux to Barcelona in September
  2. IMG_3214.mov IMG_3215.mov Last night was our Destination Celebation event on Pursuit at Walvis Bay, Namibia. It was one of the very best we have ever seen. They had a Marimba group playing as we entered the Cabaret Lounge, then we had 3 main acts. A superb choir called the Mascato Youth Choir, a traditional dance group and an all male acapella group called African Vocals. They were all wonderful and we preferred being able to see them on the ship instead of having to queue to get on a bus etc.
  3. No, we didn't see the ship come in, just saw her at the terminal.
  4. Did you have your fish & Chips at the Globe, we had it there a few years ago and it was great! Glad to hear you're having a great time.
  5. They don't ask to see your keycard any more, just check your room number. If you ask for a cocktail make sure you say 'using the included spirits/gin/vodka' etc
  6. Interesting that you were given the option to email, we weren't, just the number to call
  7. Depends what you like - spirits are fine for me
  8. Yes, we go up to Discoverer Plus at the end of this cruise and were able to book a cruise getting all the relevant discounts AND the 6 free nights. We've just had the emailed confirmation through and the price for a 13 night cruise is only just over half the promoted price
  9. Yes quite agree about What's App - very useful
  10. That's strange, we're on Pursuit were given the full list and we know that the wines in the Ultimate package are those listed on the menu as Wines By The Glass. We've had the champagne (Piper Heidseck), Whispering Angel and a very nice Albariño
  11. Cabin number: 7076 (Verandah) Ship: Pursuit Month/Year sailed: February 2024 Would you choose this cabin again: Yes Is noise and issue: no, despite it being opposite the laundry (but laundry not fully open) Balcony size: same as all verandah cabins Any other comments: nice location, close to lifts
  12. We're on Pursuit at the moment & at the end of this cruise we go up to Discoverer Plus, earning 6 free nights. We went to talk to the Cruise Sales Manager yesterday, looking to book Bordeaux to Barcelona on the Onward in September. We expected to be able to either get whatever promotions there are plus on board booking discount OR to use the free nights. We were delighted to be told you can now have both so we were able to book the cruise at a very discounted price.

  14. I did get an email back from 'Wendy Warner' after I emailed her to complain She apologized & said they were going to set up more international numbers. She also gave us the grand sum of $50 OBC which barely covered the cost of the phone calls.
  15. We bid £500 to go from OV 7006 to a verandah. I think the minimum was about £440 or so.
  16. Us too, saw her docked in Cape Town from the top of Table Mountain
  17. Interesting that Whispering Angel is still on the list. It was hard to find on Journey in November.
  18. Our cruise starts on Monday 20 Feb and the email saying our upgrade bid was successful was sent on Friday 17Feb. Unfortunately we didn't receive it until Friday afternoon in Cape Town (having left home 24 hours earlier). The wording was as follows:
  19. As far as I can see you should be, it’s for cruises of 7 days or less, so yours qualifies.
  20. If you go into manage my reservation for your cruise & click on the Guests tab at the top, you will see a form on which you complete information such as passport number- there are two tabs Guest #1 & Guest #2 ( or if you’re older as we are Senior #1 & Senior #2).
  21. Found this on the website accessgambia.com ”US Citizens Nationals from the US require an entry visa with at least 1 blank page on their passport for the stamp. Check with your doctor whether you need any vaccinations. You can apply for a visa at the Embassy of The Gambia in Washington DC. They may be allowed entry without a visa, provided they obtain one from the Immigration Department in Banjul within 2 working days. If you look at Azamara’s visas required document it says US citizens require a Visa-on-Arrival. Further down it says Azamara will organise it & charge the $121 cost to your onboard account.
  22. Do you have an’Booked’ tab above your booked excursions then an ‘Available’ tab to the right of the ‘Booked’ tab? That’s above the excursions I haven’t booked, and the use OBC item is right under the Available heading when I choose it.
