  1. Thanks for posting. I just checked and 3 table tour is now $120. I’ve added the price increases to the Tips spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15Deg-GaeZYLml8NN3PVwoh_jUkQ8QmYUe1wxnVAlODE/edit
  2. Quite agree about likely numbers not reporting it and that a high number of people suffered from it. On the other hand most people we spoke to said they were fine after 24 hours, and that was certainly our experience. A few like you were poorly for longer, but seemed to be in the minority. I was OK, my husband had it for a few hours, but immodium stopped it - no antibiotics. He was quarantined for the last day. I wonder if there were 2 separate things - SA water causing a little bit of a GI upset, and some sort of virus causing longer illness and needing antibiotics to clear it. Interesting to hear that now the bottled water has been changed, everything seems to be back to normal.
  3. Just had a look on their site & there is no contact number for Belgium. The number for France is 097107936 and for the UK +44 (344) 4934016
  4. Our hotel in Cape Town told us it was not safe to drink the tap water!
  5. So we probably never sailed on a ship with passenger cabins on Deck 3.
  6. When was that, I don’t remember seeing them, but maybe it was before we sailed on Azamara or maybe I didn’t notice them.
  7. Good to hear everything’s back to normal. I wonder how long they’ve know that the water was the issue!
  8. Anyone on Pursuit now - how are things? Is the pool open and self service back? Any reports of GI issues?
  9. I haven’t actually commented on this topic as I don’t really have a view on it! I’ve not been sent the email so haven”t had to think about it
  10. On the cruise we’ve just finished we found that the speciality restaurants didn’t stick strictly to the booked times. We booked 8pm as our preference is to eat at about 7:30. Every time we went up at round about 7:30 and were seated straight away
  11. On the single page we did there was no question about recognising crew. The only free form section was after the last question on the page and only asked why you gave the score you gave for recommending Azamara to others, nothing else.
  12. Definitely not the two brands we had on Pursuit, they were both South African brands. If it was the water, it must have only been some of the bottles. I drank lots of both brands and had no problems.
  13. Just come off Pursuit in Gran Canaria and received our satisfaction survey to complete. The first page consisted of a number of questions to which you allocated a 1-10 score (pre-cruise communications, experience onboard, shore excursions experience, likely to cruise with Azamara again, likely to recommend Azamara to others) along with an open box where you’re asked to explain your score for the last question. At the bottom there were 2 links - Continue Guest Survey and Finish Survey early. Unfortunately the Continue Guest Survey didn’t work, only the Finish Survey early worked. This was the same for both my and my husband’s survey. We were both using an IPad, so it could be due to this - anyone else found this?
  14. Is it a 7day or 14 day plus cruise. If it was over 14 days and there are 2 of you then that seems worth it (4 speciality restaurant meals = $140, 2 bags of laundry = $80, 25% off full internet package for two=$138 plus a bottle of spirits). Not worth it if it’s for less than 14 days & if you’re solo ( although if one of the aft Verandah plus cabins is available, then that would make a difference - their balconies are great!)
  15. Good idea, though if you go to see the doctor he gives you Imodium (Loperamide)..
  16. Yes, my TA daughter was in the same position.
  17. And the escargots is on Discoveries (MDR) menu every evening.
  18. Really don't think it's Azamara's fault, the ship is being cleaned continuously, anyone with GI issues who reports to the medical department is being quarantined, we are being urged to wash our hands, pool is closed, all food is served. Of course the unknown is how many people had issues and haven't seen the doctor, so continued to walk around the ship. Also how many were not careful about hand washing - I've seen people walk out of the toilets without washing their hands. Yes the medical consultation and treatment is free and you get a days future cruise credit for every day quarantined.
  19. We have been sailing on Azamara for over 10 years and have never known any passenger cabins on Deck 3.
  20. I'm certain that it's much more than 3%, most people we have talked to have had it and I have been told by people who are on Deck 4 that there has been a long queue outside the medical centre most days. Most people seem to have been ill for a day or 2 but several have been ill for much longer (5/6 days) and people seem only to have had diarrhea, not other symptoms such as vomiting and/or fever.
  21. Hotel Director on Pursuit will be Thomasz as Ngawhira is getting off in Gran Canaria.I think Emily is also going on vacation but don't know who's taking over
  22. Pool still closed today and all food served, but at noon the Captain said the numbers affected are going down, so fingers crossed things will be better on the next cruise.
  23. Definitely not caused by eating off the ship as people were still coming down with it after 4/5 sea days!
