  1. Usually a sales tour..They might give a free on the spot eye treatment. I actully won the raffle once ..got a free massage! Sometimes in the Solarium they give a neck massage etc. It's all abt supply and demand..They have to fill the appts one way or another As mentiond by others, some prefer to pick times and treatments ahead, some wait for deals and some do both.
  2. Great review.. photos and comments are enjoyable!
  3. you are ending with my fav treat.. . As a Type 2 Diabetic, I must forego many sweet treats..but this is one I will not skip! safe travels!
  4. mine are all port or time of day discounts for E Class Spa services..
  5. Pre booking page will show various pricing for diff time slots .I book what fits best for my schedule. If you book with this, I do not believe any other discounts will apply. They may have combined treatments but I have not seen any mutiple treatment booking discounts other than couples massage.. Maybe if you book on board there will be other offers. They do run some very nice specials on board including combos. Sometimes I add reflexology or foot massage if good prices. I pretty much book ahead for a basic massage, a nice facial, and one Salon treatment..recently the Kerastase. Enjoy!
  6. My husb is highly allergic to lobster..does ok with crab cakes and shrimp cocktail. Has to ask if soups or other dishes have any lobster. Food allergies are scary and we think X treats them seriously. Being picky is being careful! Fortunately, we never had any issues in BLU. Recently, I see pics from BLU of many foods buried with sauce and gravies....that may add flavor but also salt and possibly sugars. I will ask for any sauce or gravy to be put on the side. Same with salad dressing if possible.
  7. The Conservatory and small Flower shop..both lovely.. morphed into Restaurant areas on those ships. Royak C ships ised to have fresh flower carts along a balc area where you could buy or order. Now we can't even order flowers for the stateroom on X website anymore. I will grab a small bouquet to bring on board. In general, cut flowers these days are expensive, but a small vase with blooms still a good buy at PUBLIX..local supernarket in Fla. Hoping AQ Class still has small vase with long lastinv flower and Cap Club still sends a a nice Rose in bud vase!
  8. I pre book to get the early booking discount. Never recd AQ Class discount..
  9. we love Bigelow..use it at home..( other than shampoo) Very refreshing gel wish You Smooth sailing back!
  10. looks like a great birthday for you....lots of smiles.. I like those transitional hallways on S Class except for one that I recall had the ants ..memory fades. On E Class we disliked the dark Creepy Forest on EDGE and golden obstacle course on BEYOND, that connect main ship area to BLU and EDEN areas. Tough for people like me with vision issues, and dangerous when folks in scooters race thru! Can hardly see what awaits us on ASCENT and APEX!
  11. Crew area on E Class is amazing as shown in the ship's tour..They get phone cards and days off as reward..no idea abt wifi, salary or benefits. Some clients/customers will peel off to other lines. some will stay. Some will not book anything for awhile!
  12. but they won't attract usual Celeb clientele..who know what to avoid!
  13. We never had any music issues around BEYOND or EDGE..2 cruises Sometimes shows are loud. There may be a new directive from HQ to play loud music, like there was during the Miami DJ era.. For Ascent, I am buying some ear plugs that block loud noise but allow conversation..thanks to a suggest of someone on CC..
  14. We thought pool area/ bar/dip pool was quite crowded on sea days but could always find a nice quiet lounger in the shade with very attentive service for towels etc. Goups of guests hogged parts of the main area, esp around the bar, "covered seats", and lunch tables..Service was very slow for lunch (limited menu) and drinks. The food itself was tasty! Several couples laid daily claim to the over pool swing seats and the adjacent ledge..but we managed to work around them to dip in and cool off.. On the port day we stayed on board, it was wonderful up there... We had the place to ourselves .until afternoon when the crowds returned! Good dining choices and don't forget BLU, subject to availability..maybe try it one night. ENJOY!
  15. not usually.looks like something new. I will be ordering it all quite plain..sauce on side. But menu looks ok otherwise
  16. I think it may appeal to newer Celeb cruisers..maybe ones who like Las Vegas which is the vibe I get , ..but not the long term loyalists.
  17. Glad things are going well in Toronto! Hope you will share some pics. off topic: We had smooth flights on SW Air to Sarasota Fl from Long Island, NY. A long travel day starting at 4 am...have to change planes in Baltimore with 1 hr layover. .Arrived in time for a great lunch. Sal had meatloaf with bacon wrapped in phyllo dough and topped with mushrooms.. that would a creative meal on X..He loved it! Drought is over..our gardens are lush! Hope to get to the Gulf of Mexico.. a few miles away... some beach roads and our fav jetty for Manatee watching were damaged in the recent storm (can't pronounce the name!). We are in Venice Fl..If you ever want to visit great small city, I rec the Sarasota Area. Great culture, nature, beaches..Sarasota Bay!
  18. We would not pay for that..not worth it We've gone a few times by invitation. on various ships. Only for ports not Port Ev Nice views depending on the port but usually very sunny.( need a hat and sunscreen). Sometimes they served lite bites or passed snacks and bubbly.. other times nothing. Mostly a stand up event..after you cllmb some stairs Fun once but one and done for us!
  19. thank you.. appreciate the review Not the new Celeb for us!
  20. Hope X will continue to build back. We do not like the Virgin ships decor etc...not switching. The ad is a bit in the face of X but hope ad will stir competition!
  21. Years ago, when Mercury had a real T Pool with Salts and minerals amazing hydrotherapy etc..it was located inside the spa. Anyone who booked a treatment could use that pool prior to or after treatment! Century had a T pool too but that was ripped out to make a barber shop and couples massage area best I can recall. There was time guests with spa appts could use M Class Thermal suite pre appt. After that..Access was allowed pre- treatment to the Relaxation Rm on S Class. That room is for AQ guests and pre spa..but folks regularly get in there and do not observe spa quietude! on E Class def not in the thermal area and not sure abt the heated loungers.. That rm is long and narrow and a sweatbox anyhow! Guess OP can book a day pass or see if they have any status that.gives Access other than AQ Class. It is a small area..so restrictions do seem valid.
  22. good analysis.. Just the thread title makes me cringe!
