while we use our 2 comp bags ( E+), there are many things we will not send out....laundry uses hot water. .Easy care, quick dry fabric can be washed in the sink..hung on balc chair backs to dry or over the shower stall. Even the discoubted rates are VERY HIGH!

my husb was happy to re visit Cunard. Reminded me about the beautiful T pool, thermal suites and how much I liked the spa! so now we will.look at Cunard.. They had an easy website and good cust svc..back then. We dubbed our Captain..the chipper skipper!

good suggestion, will do.. but I think we will be leaning more to Cunard.. easy limo to NY port. We enjoyed QM 2 for a short cruise to Canada awhile ago Ship had beautiful balc cabins, great do it yourself art tour, an outstanding library, an enclosd smoking lounge for dh cigar and we do not mind a few dress up nights.. Loved the formal tea, planetarium casual tavern for lunch, great shows and music..Food was very good..Carib and Alaska itins look nice! We will continue to explore! Love this thread for ideas.

How large are Regent ships? How old? Is there a nice spa or T pool? we are thinking we may try Cunard again..anyone sail recently?

room svc fee was never applied in AQ Class we would tell our attendant ahead ov time if we will be around that day and want them, and also what we prefer...cheese, shrimp.. fruit we are booked in AQ on Ascent next, so we'll see if they are offered. if not we'll forage and stockpile from the buffet

Maybe just a sticky about the RETREAT and repeat ques. with answers. Diff ships have diff RETREAT spaces but it could. be helpful. Also a sticky for AQ Class and one for Concierge...same ques are posed over and over! Ex. 1) Concierge Class lunch: time, place and menu? What's included in CC?. 2) Can non AQ guests dine in BLU? What's included in AQ ? The three stickys would cut down on so repeat ques!

we'd enjoy free salted warm pretzels in the EDEN cafe.. how much could that set them back?

How big is that NCL ship? Based on comments on this thread, I looked at some of the MSC ships and reviews.. I was surprised to see that. the ships are huge compared to X , a bit gaudy and lots of places where my fear of heights would be an issue . There were neg remarks about the elev system ..where u are assigned to a specific car and must wait for it to arrive??? Can anyone suggest any smaller to medium modern decor ships focused on nice dining choices, spa, t pool and relaxing spaces? We like music and shows but bars and gambling are not our thing!

we always enjoyed Aspen Coffee after dinner in the MDR or at Cafe Baccio..It has gone off an on the menu not sure of current status... We serve it at home to guests..even have the glass cups with handles.

Port area itself, while not authentic is very nice.. nice places to eat and shop.( hand made clothing, music etc) We would not bother to venture out..Did once and X excursion was very casually disorganized!

yes but who will remove and fold the bed dressings.. not to mention the Hoppen Pillows? we also like fresh towel service..where used towels are removed when the bed is made ready... Why are we giving up niceties of the vacation?...not exactly a hostel yet!

PS Retreat and AQ class have nothing in common. Different size and style of staterooms, diff perks, diff areas of access ( Retreat for suite/ thermal suites for AQ ), diff assigned dining and very diff pricing. Not sure why they would be lumped together. Mostly AQ cruisers not very interested in suite issues and vice versa!

No need... Just follow the threads you find relevant or helpful most threads are generally about Celebrity which should be of interest to all Many cruisers book diff levels all the time so too much work to follow sub threads!
