  1. I got through to a rep in Phillipines.. He agreed we should not have incurred a change fee ..said it might have been an automated charge. He could not reach the Resolutions Dept, so he changed our cruise fare to $100 less per person and now the balance agrees with what we thought it should be.. Still waiting for Inv # 5. He said the IT Dept is working on updates and warned there might be delays. he thinks it should arrive by 4 pm. Let's hope this is the end of I have been overly detailed here in hopes this may help.others go through their own invoices...which they def should do on their own or with their TAs. We have already decided X is no longer a good fit for us..but will continue to post til after the 2025 on APEX!
  2. UNREAL.. The credit for the "wrongly" charged grats came through last night. Took off the added grat charge b/c we have the " all in package" which included the grats BUT now I see a $100 pp Change Fee addded on which was not on the orig invoice. So this require another phone call.. Just one booking. but. I wonder how many other errors are getting through!

  5. No.. we paid for "all in " and they added a charge for grats.. that charge needs to be removed as grats were part if out fare

  7. I actually called mainly because my Confirmation paperwork for APEX had a charge for grats for each person. The rep said it would drop off within 2 wks of booking..We were way past 2 wks , so I requested an updated Conf e mail( #4) she said it was going out right away and wpuld refect a credit for the grats. .It never arrived. I called again..diff rep same story.. said it would be here in 5 min... never arrlved. If not here by tom noon, I will call again.. B/c it involves a credit for their invoice error, maybe it has to pass through the chutes and ladders dept first! ???????
  8. Confirmed our "All In" will cover the grats for our 2024 and 2025 bookings The changes could easily blow over in the next few months.

Canapes were always part of AQ Class along with upgraded rm svc menu for bkfst, daily water..then water was cut to 1 welcome water pp. aso welcome bubbly ( ugh,) or on request..use with OJ small vase with 2 stems of flowers AQ canapes in the past included ship's asst choice salami, fruit, cheese, stale crackers shrimp, caviar... NOT SURE IF AQ gets them now!. We will forage at the buffet and bring along some snacks. Beware candy in shops very pricey!
  10. How much in grats per day did u pay for a Retreat Butler now not a Butler? Seems you are not getting much for the enhanced grats. Do you plan to give extra tips to Retreat Team? Do you have access to water and soda in Michaels Club..and/ or in your cabin, sorry not up to expectations.. X used to promise it y would "exceed expectations"
  11. I cringe at Quail.. we have them wild in our backyard in Fl..also known as Bobwhite. They are in decline.. For awhile X was on a bird binge! Not sure they ever served pigeon..

I have been reviewing and posting on CC for many yrs and I am not a troll! in my opinion, some of the folks who criticize negative opinions can also be quite annoying..I avoid their snarky comments. To the OP: best to go with a open mind and an awareness that some of the changes will not be to one's liking....but other things may be a pleasant surprise!
  13. on balance..we have found that the Diamond cocktail hr spreads were so much better than X. on Oasis ( a few yrs back) it was in a club with a full bar..full mini buffet wih hot dishes.. table service for drinks.. better than the MDR on the last night 2 guests were allowed.. we invited our our dtr and son in law..they loved it! NO IDEA WHAT THEY HAVE NOW..that was our last Royal cruise!
  14. We puld continue to pass on these type of events.. Like going out on any holiday....involves higher prices, more crowded, more seatings, and less attentive service. Why not try another venue..?

  16. BEYOND BLU was outstanding.. contrssted to Luminae which was meh (how can you ruin shrimp cocktail?..but they did)
  17. Change in demographics starting to show.. Not much was being suggested for guests to follow, but I guess the bar is too high for some!

I called X regular number a short while ago to confirm I had grats included for my 2025 APEX cruise..SV with "all in..." they quoted a long wait time 30 min + for a rep but allowed me to request a call back..which I did Wait for that was 6 minutes! How good was that! Rep will e mail an updated confirmation invoice..taking off the grat charges..Also confirmed we have basic alc and wifi..all we need! I was pleasantly surprised!
  19. we have an SV bookef for APEX 2025 AQ Class for ASCENT in 2024.. with Specialty ( Eden, Fine Cut and Rooftop Grill,) will try to add Raw on 5 and Cafe Bstro for lunch. We will manage with the IV cabin.. We will continue to monitor changes and cuts..E Class ships are still new and fresh! Enjoy!
  20. sounds like a smart move..may not be a downgrade once you try it! ..We like that style cabin..very roomy and a large aft balc if you want to sit outside. We also enjoy the 4 mdr plan..esp Cyprus and Tuscan. What is SR?
  21. time will tell..staff may lose out if folks remove the auto grats we liked the all in pricing..less to get involved with..but for some the all NOT included may work better! whoever is running things seem quite like rookies...like a college dorm council.
