Loved the 50 yr Anniv Decor.. dh and I have 2 more yrs to make that Celebration.. ...and would also be 50 years in my profession although I am mostly retired these days! time flies! Til then, we try to make the most of each day!

How was the 100 min spa session? I tried the Kerstase hair salon on BEYOND...did a great de frizz..but was pricey for my budget. The spa was lovely! I may try a combo next time..usually I just books a massage at outset of a cruise and a facial towards the end,...

I agree with your assessment for friends' Alaska vacation. I also think dining together will be easier to arrange on Solstice. We actually have enjoyed E Class.. we find the experience livelier, with super shows, more dining choices, great art. We have been on EDGE ( 2x.. once in AQ Class% IV, and once SV with the 4 mdrs). Most recently we did BEYOND (Retreat). Booked on ASCENT and APEX. We have enjoyed Silho and EQ too and will probably try Connie once again b/c she sails from Tampa..Our fav ship was Mercury so we are not youngins!

very interesting.. we go 2 days ahead for west coast US departures to ease the adjustment...Our 5 days cruising to Hawaii ( on Summit) and then back eased the transition .

i'd let guest rel or hotel dir know about the temps operations and cleaning issues for hot tubs and solarium pool. they are usually very well maintained altho' temps vary widely in solaroum pool! alot of the games u mention are not known to us..can u desribe?

Asking for friends.. Their choice for a family group of 8 young seniors is EDGE from Seattle or Solstice from Vancouver next year MAY, Their TA strongly recs Solstice...but said cruising from Vancouver can be a bit of a hassle logistically. TA said that on a recent cruise.(not Alaska) that using an I phone to book dinner res on EDGE was difficult, demographic was more young and hip...and said she preferred Solstice We have not been on Solstice in years...and also cruised from Seattle awhile ago..it was easy and charming then.not sure how it is now? We loved Edge! Any help or thoughts would be appreciated! Thank you!

MERCURY.. she was.one of our first and fav Celebrity ships. On one Merc cruise..we hit a bad storm going thru Straits of Fl on the way back to port. Ship listed ? ( tilted), very sharp....and we fell out of bed..kind of a scary event....we were told by Captain to stay in our cabins with our vests at the ready! In the morning, the disembark deck was flooded..auto doors were stuck open. Crew worked all night picking up broken dishes! We were happy to get off sloshing along wet carpets, and felt sorry for those joining a very soggy ship! Hope you do okay!

do you find the gradual time changes are easier than just flying and catching up in a day or two..? we manage ok going east on an overnight flight from JFK, but when going west.. we find it is harder to adjust.. that's why we cruised to Hawaii from LA
