  1. love the Bento, & with green tea = perfect! sounds like you are enjoying pre cruise sights and food..police boxes and child kidnap warning signs? ...did the city feel safe? hope you have another nice day ahead!
  2. that's the problem with the refurbs. same for Connie and Infinity.. hoping S Class are in better shape" under the hood"..trying Silhouette next.
  3. Very nice photo.. We tried doing the star gazer programs twice...but it was windy out on a top deck at sea where it was held..The program never took off...probably best for overnights in port.. The roof top terrace seems like a good location..we had a calm night for dinner at the restaurant up there but a dark sky we have had great sky views in the SV..aft balc..
  4. huh.. forget about copyright issues . esp with all the AI nowadays.. thanks for taking the time to produce the videos.. (and the coral info as well)
  5. omg you know so many subjects! How about your travels? it's not to make a living but you and wife would get nice cruises on diff ships, impart knowledge and meet nice people! Just a thought!
  6. wlWhat camera do you use? ( sorry if this was covered..but I can't recall) I know it's more about the photographer than the camera but sometimes it helps!
  7. loved the professional quality of yoyr photos.. thanks for sharing your stroll! Of course the kitty stole my heart! and I am ordering the porto fan asap!
  8. i would not book any cabin with a balcony for toddlers or children..stuff happens! Our grands are boys 8 and 4... we take no chances...they are full of surprises! Maybe an inside in vicinity of a suite for grandparents ???
  9. Jim you are a wealth of info... ahead of the curve! I won't need these sleep buds as I sleep quite well but now only 7 hrs per night...old age!
  10. interesting post.. I wondered where the misnomer " virtual veranda" came from as to Celebrity.. We like to call it a "garden room".. like a closed in porch with optional window! Put a few fake orchids/ plants in there and it could be a nice sun room
  11. All so incredible .. What is your opinion about the condition of the coral? Lots of work is being done in Fla (Marine Mote) on coral health and re growth.. Good friend's dtr, a marine biologist is doing some international lectures on Reef rehab....very much needed!
  12. loved it...loved the music! hope you had fun!
  13. how nice of you to go above and beyond for a fellow cruiser.. enjoy your day..great itin & great weather!
  14. I'd suggest a classic evening look..and let the bling shine ! ! (hint hint)
  15. Many of the Beyond the Podium presentations are worth attending in person and taking another look on the TV..both on your cruise look great. . Have you ever thought about doing a lecture series?
  16. we brought or shipped home coffee, nuts and beautiful smooth skin creams. So many great products from Hawaii...no junk!
  17. surfandsun I think you really hit the jackpot with this tour and guide...great choice!
  18. Sorry the dive excursion did not work out for Marcia.. Only she can decide if she is done with diving.. Maybe if you both can go together it might work better. Or go with a better provider. We gave up snorkeling after our last mishap..It was off a nice dive style boat on St Croix across from an island..It was with an experienced crew and not overcrowded. But the water was very rough, it was a narrow trail, and the group was moving very quickly. I got caught up in coral..Sal came to my rescue and was scratched badly. He had an awful reaction..same as his lobster allergy.. He took benadryl asap .. but we had to wait for the others to finish up, boat ride back to port and then a long bus ride to the port pier...He saw the ship's dr asap and also our dr at home.Took abt a month for his system to clear. So no more snorkel trips! We will sign up for glass bottom boats and semi submersibles ..not the same but safer for us!
  19. glad you arrived ok.. great photos..off to a good start. Looking forward to this review! thanks for sharing....
  20. last time the photographer took a nice group pic and a few indiv ones with Cap..all for sale!
  21. take time to read some reviews on Cruise Critic and elsewhere..many U tube videos as well. Enjoy your own discoveries!
  22. no.. our gen experience has been bad! best to just use the 15% for an extra meal..lunch or dinner and request the 15% be applied.. worked fine at Raw on 5.. impromptu lunch. When we pre book and then request the 15% credit at the restaurant, it causes a major issue..not worth it..and it can take days to get the credit. And we have to get guest rel involved! Once they did apply it at Tuscan on Infinity after ruining our dinner out. The nasty Maitre D caused all sorts of aggravation...including accusing us of lying and making dh go back to our room to get the Cap Club paper as proof.. terrible experience.! . We were in a U S port overnite & altho we got the credit, they hit us with a local tax. Guest rel took several days to rectify but we cancelled ALL of our remaing res.. Not worth it!
  23. Luminae is probably the main reason we do not stretch our budget for a suite/Retreat. Menu and prep is mostly uninspired for our tastes which are very simple. BLU is better....and In our opinion Luminae is not at the same level as Specialty venues..at least on E Class ships. Jim, maybe you can escape to BLU!
