  1. I suppose one needs to distinguish between available to book and likely to actually happen.
  2. If you haven't done so, use the search tool and search for Celebrity in titles. There have been a couple decent threads here comparing NCL and Celebrity.
  3. My experience is, it does not work. Various group texts I belong to, I couldn't use while on the cruise because one or more people in the group were non-iPhone - so no one would get the message. But other than that, anyone using iMessage I was able to communicate with, on or off the ship.
  4. Observation Lounge on Encore will be your go to spot. Even if they have some entertainment or event I’m pretty sure you can find a spot that is far enough away. The lounge is huge. I believe Vibe is open till 10 but if it’s only night time solitude you desire I think vibe would be a waste.
  5. Agreed. 1:40, if I remember correctly.
  6. Not that it's necessary, but what the heck: I concur with RocketMan275, I've had exactly that experience.
  7. Because I see the question asked frequently, on the Dec 15 Viva, the NFL games they were showing were always shown in The Local and on Channel 18 in your stateroom. They were sometimes shown on the pool deck. The funny thing was the one time I went up to the pool deck to see a game, the game was on the screen but the only place to sit was on the other side of the pool at the bar. It was as if the pool deck staff didn't get the memo they were showing NFL out there that evening. There is a heck of a lot said in that one sentence.
  8. Just got off the Viva and agree on all points. That piece of shoe leather in the MDR they call NY Strip is a joke and it amazes me when people claim it to be a good steak or that they really liked it (I assume anyone making that claim is simply impressed with the over-salted gravy they drown it in). Cagney's steak has sunk to the level of an Outback Steakhouse, but at least at Outback the steak is properly prepared, just low quality. It's possible that Cagney's is also using low quality but they claim it's CAB and unless they are totaling ripping off the CAB name, it should be decent quality. (And yes, I get that CAB is 100% marketing, but, generally they do have somewhat better quality beef, IME). I believe ColdCruise is onto the problem here. The ribeyes we had on Viva matched this description, correct temp but dry.
  9. See this post for a list. Read through the posts, there were a couple additions to the list.
  10. I just got off Viva and Palomar was definitely a step (or more) below Ocean Blue. My wife also had the sea bass and I had the scallops and clams. Neither was impressive. But the path to get there really surprised me. If you arrive on deck 17 from the forward elevators/stairs, you laterally have to fight your way through the too-small-and-overcrowded buffet to get over the where Palomar wants you to enter. This despite the fact that Palomar real-estate borders the pool area. Just one of the few strange things about Prima/Viva's layout.
  11. Search this forum for my post of the dailies. I got 6 of 7 posted there.
  12. I just stayed in 11106 which is on the corner so different from what you are looking at. But what is the same is that solid steel railing which means you don’t see anything but sky when sitting down. Also the same, I assume, is wind. When underway it was windy when standing. When sitting the steel rail did a good job deflecting. So long as I mentioned it, 11106 and 11706 are great rooms size wise. I’d stay again if I do Prima or Viva again. They would be perfect for three people with its pull out couch. Could leave it pulled out and still have loads of room.
  13. I just got off Viva’s Dec 15 cruise. The CN folks were promoting the no expiration date as if it were something special for that cruise. Regardless, they definitely no longer expire.
  14. own 100 shares, then fill out a form and include a picture (or similar) of your brokerage statement showing you own 100 shares and you get an OBC. Very easy. I got $100 for my 7 day cruise I just got off.
  15. Day 7, St. Thomas - Whoops, I don't seem to have that one.
  16. I'll work on a review but for now because I know people were asking, I'll try to post the dailies.
  17. Definitely mostly indoor seating if not all was indoors. I don't recall if there was an option to eat outdoors.
  18. I'd have to look at a map and reread the description to see where we turned around. It was at one of the points that the description says it will stop at, maybe Carcross?
