  1. We like the mix variety at the buffet.
  2. We too have friends from practically every cruise still in touch year round. And joins us on board. Also with staff as far back as QE2. Debbie and Elaine Mackay from QE2.
  3. We always supplement the cabin's supply while passing the Buffet in Kings Court. Gives us a variety of choices when we are in the cabin. We even keep the h/h silver container in the refrigerator from room service instead of returning it. And use it ongoing instead of the diary packages that supply.
  4. They specifically looking to enjoy sightseeing afterwards. Manhattan is to far away and expensive. Brooklyn has items to view and visit and easy for the BQE straight to LaG. I don't look too deep into posts but suggest items CC'ers maybe happy to consider....
  5. On return they are looking...........
  6. Not that far away on Cranberry Street to see the house. The bakery is too far away to walk for fresh warm bread. Got the bread for holidays. Ready Good. The Pier at Dumbo is very popular under the Brooklyn Bridge. Beautiful site of Lower Manhattan.
  7. I think the OP is looking to use down time for light sight seeing which can not be done at LaG..
  8. Living in Brooklyn we know many that sail out of Brooklyn Downtown Area stay at the Marriott on Adams Street near the Brooklyn Bridge - Dumbo area. Along Fulton Street, Court Street and Montague Street near Brooklyn Heights are many restaurants. Also Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo area are up and coming near the Brooklyn Bridge. You can even take a ferry ride to Lower Manhattan. The Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is not that far away straight run.

  10. On our trips we have never waited to board and cabin being ready. We would board, drop luggage and off to lunch. This of course was for Club and Grill..
  11. Depends the Brand. Here in Brooklyn, we get alot of different brands from Italy. Normal supermarket brand would but Progresso or Cena....
  12. In September on the QM2 they were in Progress after lunch in the Britannia Restaurant and not the Atlantic Room as in the past.
  13. We will be returning for the third time on the QM2. Since she can not dock, we will be tendering into port. Since we have exhausted all to do and are not into Mansions, will enjoy walking around especially if it is a beautiful day. Our favorite lunch is at the Red Parrot which we are never disappointed with lunch.
  14. We also with our past Embarkation Day, arranged a location on deck to meet before the ship departs. A location is selected on deck and posted on the Roll Call to meet after the Muster Drill. On the QM2 we select the Observation Deck. Great way to meet before the Meet & Greet on the following day.
  15. You meet some nice people even Newbies at the rail during the ships departure at the sailaway.
  16. Our Main Reason we Love and are attracted to Cunard and the QM2.... Boarding again soon....
  17. The Parking Systems at the NYC/Brooklyn Piers do not take reservations and are first come and first serve. But there is plenty of space for parking.
  18. First meal in Quebec we tried to figure it out and after that, "That Was It !"... After we came home so nice the CC bill did it.
  19. Having been on the Past September NE/CAN on QM2 for 14 days, all our purchases we used with a card were converted by the bank at home to USA.
