A ship we have in common. I sailed her in 1998, chartered by a local travel agent for a unique itinerary. The cruise was to Bermuda, from Alexandria VA. It was strange timing as we had to leave very early in the afternoon to pass the Woodrow Wilson Bridge (I95 at Washington DC) before rush hour. I'm sure there were still a lot of frustrated motorists as I expect the bridge opening. Late afternoon we had minimal clearance under the Nice Bridge. I don't think even Prinsendam could have made the trip because I don't think the river is terribly deep and Leeward has a 19-foot draft compared to Prinsendam's 24. Roy

Sadly, this Columnists Day is the fifth anniversary of a mass murder at Annapolis MD's Capital Gazette. Five columnists, Gerald Fischman, Rob Hiisasen, John McNamara, Rebecca Smith, and Wendi Wenders were gunned down. RIP. Roy

A great day with the ening of WW1 although the League of Nations was pretty much a bust. I have been to Cozumel several times but I don't think ever on a BHB. I'll pass on the body piercing but salute Insurance Awareness and Columnists. I think Wright had it backwards. The chicken skewers sound interesting. Once again, I'll pass on an alternative. For our Canadian Dailyites, since July 1 is a Saturday will Canada Day be celebrated on Friday? I can imagine for border areas a long holiday with July 4 being a Tuesday people being away from Friday all the way through Tuesday. Roy
