  1. With some of the pictures that were posted I was wondering what those metal doors were for.
  2. So, a few on the Sun Princess Thread seem to think the next cruise may see more pictures of cabins etc. There was a person on YT that had a nice video of a Deluxe Balcony Cabin. Along the side were more videos about the Sun. So hopefully we will get some more ideas what the Star will look like in 2025.
  3. When I did the burial at sea on the Crown, for my wife, last October the only person, I had any contact with was from Passenger Services. There two from security to keep people from walking past me on the Promenade Deck but I briefly walked past one of them. I didn't tip anyone. I guess tipping or expressing one's appreciation would be a personal choice.
  4. @dides can correct me but I thought there were some pictures on the Sun Princess thread, past page 100, could be by a few pages. Now I'm going to have to look. 😬
  5. Thanks for the pictures. I just wish the person gave a cabin number.
  6. The video shows a Reserve Collection Mini-Suite and it is wheelchair accessible. That's why it looks so large and there is a curtain for the shower stall.
  7. Morning. Bumping up from page 5. Also, some information on bed location in the cabins. The beds alternate because of the cabin set up. The special note in the description indicates where the sofa or the bed is located. In the deck diagram the indentation in the wall shows location of the bed. Hope this helps folks wanting the bed in a certain location in their room.
  8. I wish this were true. The beds alternate because of the cabin set up. The special note in the description indicates where the sofa or the bed is located. In the deck diagram the indentation in the wall shows location of the bed. Hope this helps folks wanting the bed in a certain location in their room.
  9. Princess web page. Click on Plan a Cruise. Click on Find Cruisetours. Click on Alaska then Date/Length Pick which month you want and look at what is offered. I would suggest doing the land portion first then the cruise.
  10. So that gives you the capacity at 2/cabin of 4324. The max takes into account the cabins that can sleep 4/cabin. So, with a max capacity of passengers being 5189 that would be about 432 cabins that can sleep more than 2/cabin. Also, most suites can sleep more than two, right.
  11. Thanks for the kid's menu. I would think it would be similar across the fleet. Sailing the end of April on the Caribbean with my younger daughter and her family. The youngest granddaughter has an egg allergy so that menu will help. We do plan on talking to the staff about it at our first dinner.
  12. Earlier in this thread folks were talking about the piazza and the missing stairs. Unfortunately, the Sun doesn't have the circular staircases we are used to. Gerrilyn had an interesting picture of Crooners on her fb page. It shows the staircase between deck 9 and deck 8.
  13. Thanks. Let's see if people use this thread.
  14. How about I start a thread that says "Sun Princess - Anything You Want to Know About Suites". That seems pretty straight forward and could be helpful. I bumped up the Sanctuary thread. It fell to the bottom of page 4. Sorry, I initially linked the wrong thread.
  15. Flame suit on.... Someone please start a thread about signature suites and benefits. I would guess a majority of the folks looking for information about the Sun Princess here could care less if you have a benefit or not. Start up your own thread. Even the sanctuary posts are getting old and there is a thread for that.
  16. I was on an RCL ship last year and a young girl about 8 found one and went crazy because she found the duck. She was so excited. Her mother told her she could keep it until she found another one and then would have to hide one again.
  17. I can afford the Seaview Terrace. Just might spend some time there. πŸ™‚
  18. Some passengers on the Sun spotted a waterspout on March 1st. Had a problem with the link. Maybe someone else can find it. Sorry.
  19. 7 day, B2B 5/7, 7 day, 5 day, B2B 5/7. Unless you combine the B2B's they are all less then 10 days. πŸ™‚
  20. @Ajg601 I haven't sailed on the Sapphire, but I have sailed on the Royal a couple of times. Other posters have given good information. From what I've seen on other threads you have a better chance doing the inside passage on the Sapphire. The Sapphire does have a covered pool which you can step in and out of the area, if necessary, on the Sun Deck, deck 15. The park ranger would be in this area on the Lido Deck, Deck 14. Each ship has its own ambiance so really it would be the best date and what you are hoping to experience on your cruise. Once you decide which cruise you want to take make sure you join the Roll Call for that cruise. Welcome to cruise critic and enjoy your cruise. For ports of call you might try this forum. Although most everybody talks about Vancouver or Victoria. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/23-canada-alaskapacific-coastal/
  21. @dides Thanks. You seem to know all the right spots to look. The video showing the keel laying showed some white tanks. I wonder of those might be the LNG tanks.
  22. OMG! I honestly missed that when I reread the post. Thank you. I needed a good laugh. 🀣🀣🀣
  23. Not sure what this person considers live music. Saw a video of Crooners with a 3 piece band. Another video with a I think a 6 piece band and singer in the Piazza doing a Whiney Houston montage,
