If you’ receive an offer for a comped CC/AQ, you simply have more play than those of us who are only receiving comped Sail-only balconies. In the past we could upgrade to a CC/AQ for $10/$20 which was a tremendous value
It’s all a la carte, you could add all three. Big savings is if you can get away with not having to buy the alcohol package. Also remember you can purchase both the drink package and internet mid sailing and pay the prorated amount. If you do that, be advised once you start something you get it for the rest of the cruise
With NCL they charge you separately and with X’s AI package, they bundle it with the fare. Generally X is the more premium line but for those who want more entertainment options than one main show and one passenger pax participation show a night, the big three which includes NCL is a nice change up. Also NCL gives you one specialty restaurant per sailing with status
I’ll save you guys the trouble, he/she/they won’t engage in debate, will either attack ya or deflect by attacking ya. Best guess is they’re an investor
What threw a lot of people off is it isn't AT THE MOMENT a lifetime status match. Maybe they will change that and maybe not. For now, if you book a cruise by march, you temporarily get the status perks. I also would imagine they're hardly looking at the proof people are providing
Too late to edit my post, I low rolled and therefore the only offer I received was advertised as 60% off. Once I spoke to the BCC they said I could also do a full comp on those "unpopular" itineraries. That was not advertised in the 60% off offer.
That would only be a minor inconvenience to me, I'd much rather have them ask me how to make it then for them to guess. I hold a lot of weight if they're positive/pleasant
X has a parntership with the MGM and therefore X can offer quarterly offers based on MGM play but others have claimed to received an offer without any gambling, anywhere
Simply depends on the itinerary choices. My last offer was in late 2022 and was a 60% off deal, but they said I could do a fully comped sailing if it was either the Mexican Riviera out of San Pedro or the Carrib out of Puerto Rico. There's a reason they're offering only those two as full comps because they're not very popular
Really makes you wonder who approved $10-$20/night upgrades and why. Pretty much every sailing I’ve been on but the NYE eve one was reduced capacity and AQ-suites was always sold out so it would appear they didn’t have problems filling them most likely due to MoveUp. You’d imagine as a gift from X, instead of the upgrade, an offer of $500 in matched play would be win-win for both X and gamblers
Reason I don’t think the specialty dining has nothing to do with the funneling into MDR is because even with reduced capacity you can hardly find any available reservations. Maybe a couple of nights at 9pm’s.
Thanks for sharing…Figure it would only be a matter of time when the $10/20 upgrades would disappear but it’s still disappointing to hear it actually happened
ha ha...I usually book AQ so eat at Blu, I have noticed Blu is usually dead on the last night. Figured that's why it was moved, X wouldn't have to serve as much of it but who knows
They need your seapass/room # in all dining rooms, they know who is there. They can only guess who's eating in the buffet because they could be having an early dinner at the Mast Grill which is open until 6pm The other dynamic is when pax eat dinner at the buffet but they eat mainly pizza
