  1. If you have the luxury of being flexible with bookings, start paying attention about 90 days prior to the sailing. If there aren't a lot of bookings there could be some fire sales
  2. Just sharing my thoughts, if I come across pretentious, that is not my intention... 1) LOBSTER, X mirrored RCI's fee but did not improve change to the improved cold water lobster like some of us were hoping 2) BURGER, like a steak you can have good or bad versions...IMO, the mast grill/buffet burger is bad/flavorless, edible but not worth the calories. The hot dog on the other hand is awful, give me a cheap Costco hot dog any day 3) SCALLOPS, use to sous vide and sear them and have change my method searing one side only and leave the other side unseared/raw...They are soooooo good like that 4) OVERCOOKING, lately whenever I order any chicken dish from X, its overcooked
  3. I get everything except for the boxing bag and the attendant will ask if I want something else
  4. Varies wildly...I do wonder if it's ship specific 1) Booked 6 months the before sailing, receive the email 3 weeks before sailing...Solstice 2) Booked 9 month the before sailing, receive the email 8 months before sailing...Eclipse 3) Booked 6 months the before sailing, receive the email 3 months before sailing...Millie
  5. Yes, you get two daily waters. While playing, order a drink and couple bottles of water. With remember no one checks wine bottle inventory, if you read behind the lines you could put two bottles each into your checked luggage and carry on two bottles each. If you somehow get caught, they'll give it back to you on the last night
  6. Travel nearly exclusively AQ 1) I get this email about 70% 2) If you do not receive this email, you can request it from your cabin attendant 3) Even with things selected by email, they can be out once on board...My WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) is it simply depends when the cabin attendant grabs them 4) I've selected the boxing bag every time and have never received one
  7. Debatable if resort fees are a scam; less debatable are the 3rd party travel booking sites who attempt to hide resort fees as much of possible Regardless, resort fees exist for two reasons, hotels can advertise a lower per night rate and the resort gets to keep 100% of the resort fee; they don’t have pay commissions/kickbacks on them. It’s a resort friendly loophole
  8. wasn’t sure if X was misspelling it…lol
  9. It’s still Spiny…RCI added the additional tail charge but change the lobster to Maine; not X
  10. Unfortunately have never sailed when they were good
  11. I’m not a huge fan of X’s baked desserts, just find them very bland and therefore not worth the calories. The exceptions are Eden cafes cookies and brownies. It’s a shame these more gourmet desserts aren’t offer at cafe al bacio fleetwide
  12. Food is about the same quality but they usually offer filet twice on a typical 7 night sailing although one will be when they offer Wellington. The biggest benefit is that it’s more intimate setting and generally has better service. However, while the MDR does have some tables spread out, a much higher % of Blu’s tables are close together
  13. For AQ you get the amenities, spa access, Blu, two waters delivered to your room, panel shower, etc Host doesn’t offer anything except for free play on the front end and if you gamble enough will wipe out some or all of your on board charges Free offers go by your last sailing and is dependent by the number of nights. You generally won’t receive a free cruise by climbing tier, it’s based on total tier points per sailing
  14. Negative ghostwriter…Only tips included are the daily gratuities and drinks within your drink package
  15. This is celebrity so of course it isn’t added…ha ha
  16. You would have to imagine they'd waive the fee
  17. Something else I just thought of, many introverted solos don't want to deal with the MDR whether they dine solo or a shared table. They would order room service dinner off the MDR. Now that costs money, that could steer more to the OVC
  18. Blu is (at least currently) immune to extra charge for additional lobster entrees
  19. Have a great cruise! Someone reported the current sailing is 700 people so def think this sailing will be below half
  20. Can order a single item if you wish, pricing is a la carte, no minimum. Generally there’s very few people there
