  1. I understand but many of them seem to love it there…regardless, it would appear they scaling dinner back vs outright eliminating it
  2. Thanks...Consider using a cell phone to take a video and post to social media or even youtube; if youtube you may receive at least a thousand views since you would be the first to report on this
  3. Makes sense...Those were end of year "let's increase our year end revenue" sales...They may offer them at the end of the quarter as well
  4. 530pm for MDR select for many (possibly all) ships. To my surprise, on the Millie at Blu the app says it opens at 530pm but they start seating you at 5pm, serve drinks and bread but you wouldn't get any food until a bit after 530pm
  5. Every change we've noticed in 2023 seems to have the goal of getting you to have dinner in the MDR at a specific time...lol 1) New room service fee 2) Rumored scaled down offerings at the buffet during dinner 3) Possible MDR cancelation fee
  6. I saw the iLounge workers spreadsheet which lists internet purchased pre-sailing, it just says if you have the voucher or not. On board they have no idea how much you paid
  7. That's how the Millie has been for months although I would say it was at least a dozen items which is far more than "a few"
  8. Just a FYI...Timeline: -Purchased premium internet well before the voucher came out -Purchased the $9.95 voucher for all sailing long (for all my sailings) -Called X to cancel and refund the premium internet meaning only voucher remained -Upon boarding the ship, purchased the basic which did already include my CC Elite+ discount -Voucher worked to upgrade to premium but did require a visit to iLounge which was hectic on embarkation day; probably could have been avoided if I had called X and purchased basic
  9. Its still there for my sailings but not at any discount. If you do not have any CC status (and therefore no internet discount) it's cheaper to buy just premium than it would be to buy basic plus the voucher
  10. It does not because once you go to cruise planner, the AMEX part disappears from the URL...The URL will simply be: https://www.celebritycruises.com/account/
  11. It's always been wellington; prime rib used to always be on the first night but for whatever reason the Solstice offers it on the last night
  12. This is because you can get some favorable redemptions if they're flexible; many are able to redeem about $1000 worth of miles for a first/business class international flight that has a cash price of $10K
  13. They wouldn't have eliminated Room Service; "it could be worse" would be a $14.95 charge
  14. Can't you opt out of the email promos or google how to set up an email filter to move them to a junk folder? To be fair, they are called "Offers" not "Sales"
  15. Another tip if you have AMEX and do not see the offer... AMEX offers only show 100 offers at a time...If you see you have 100ish offers waiting to be added and do not see Celebrity as one, add a bunch of offers even if you have no intention of using the offer and check tomorrow and the day after
  16. It really comes down can you live without the alcohol package. If you are CC Elite, you get free mimosas or bloody marys, free drinks whenever playing, free drinks from 5pm-7pm (except for embarkation day), can carry on wine and charge a few drinks here and there
  17. BCC will tell you no but if you email your booking number to celebritymoveup@celebrity.com they CAN activate for you; they have activated it every time I asked but they often at 1-1.5 week to do so and reply
  18. I have never used a TA yet I just want to point out one needs to make sure Celebrity charges the card to receive the offer. If the TA charge your AMEX for themself to the TA company you wouldn't receive the offer
  19. Buying in advance: internet upgrades, drink upgrades, specialty dining, tours, etc should get everyone there
  20. I realize I stand corrected as it does say "one OR MORE" so it would appear your $200 counts towards the $500 min
  21. I was on that same sailing, it ended yesterday
  22. Just wanted to share my internet speed test with premium Wi-Fi on the previous sailing. As you can see, while great for X, the speeds are by no means impressive at any time. Hit 70.3 download on the carnival celebration
  23. It wasn't real Kobe but doesn't craft social still have the "Wagyu style" sliders?
  24. I believe it depends which card you have, I can only speak for the Plat card. Generally speaking, paying yourself back is one of the worst use of points and transferring to a travel partner with offer is the way to go... Here are the Plat options and an example of travel partner bonus:
