  1. There’s often a huge premium, occasionally they cost about the same as sky suites
  2. Thanks for sharing, please share any more details you experience during the sailing
  3. Pretty much this. Also a "skinny" drink is very ambiguous, instead of a regular drink containing 50g of sugar, the "skinny" version may still contain 25g. I would recommend the OP look up specific drinks they like (they provided zero details to what types of drinks they like) and tell the bartender the exact ingredients vs asking for "skinny"
  4. - No Cigar Bars on any Celebrity ship - Cannot smoke in any Celebrity ship's casino - Have to smoke outside - They sell cigars on board
  5. It used to be easier pre pandemic as mgms stratus ended sept 30 and hyatts was I believe Jan 31st
  6. Here’s a fascinating video on the worse lifeboat in the titanic…Spoiler alert, it was not lifeboat #13
  7. What are the odds you’re on both a sinking ship and sinking lifeboat? If you are, you need to survive so you can buy a lottery ticket 🙃
  8. Book and pay for a short cheap cruise and play a lot. In my experience carnival has lower gambling requirements than other lines
  9. You are on a website called cruise CRITIC, I would hope people continue to share the good along with the bad
  10. Wow, you're the first to report this. Hope it gets faster as while these numbers beat any non-starlink sailing I've been on. Maybe it's throttled down for testing. It was posted in the starlink thread that her internet speed test was 50 down/40 up
  11. X isn't doing anything extra to attract the high margin customers who spend a lot on board compared to the customer who buys nothing on board. X does try to attract another type of perceived high margin customer, the gamblers. They'll offer them free staterooms; should be noted the CC's loyalty status is lifetime while the casino/BCC status is only annual
  12. Competition...Because their competitors, both cruise lines and land resorts have them Price...For both questions, it comes down to the all in cruise fare
  13. Compared to your three, how many restaurants do you know that did NOT go out of business? While it's possible a restaurant could have bad luck, there are usually other issues. I'll use a national fast food chain as an example, Chick-Fil-A's aren't even open on Sundays and yet they almost never go out of business
  14. It isn't like X is yet using LNG, E-Class pax routinely complain about soot when staying in aft staterooms. While no doubt each and every tiny fuel-reducing incremental or "drop in the bucket" change is indeed good for the planet, nearly all large ships including cargo are notoriously dirty. Also, none of the E-Class suites offer any kind of IV, they all offer traditional balconies. Certainly feels like they leave the fuel saving IVs for us peasants
  15. Was going to say the same, even on my Millie sailing which was at 37% capacity, several months out Tuscan grill only had 830pm or later
  16. Within the ports you have two different issues, first is the pickpockets (Nassau is one of the worst) and then you have places like Jamaica where you'll be approached by a local who will want to fist bump you and say "respect man", they'll then ask your name and will start carving your name into a trinket
  17. Yup! Since I doubt people read 6 pages worth, I'm trying to point out the OP's click bait once per page
  18. If you don't have the drink package/AI this is a great perk but for me personally, I prefer a full hot breakfast with coffee
  19. The OP apparently wanted to stir the pot and this whole thread is pretty pointless. The E-Class is a similar experience to S/M-Class...Teenagers won't be "taking over the pool" on the E-Class
  20. 100% agree and if the OP is sailing often solo, they receive double CC points and once they make elite will receive the 5-7pm happy hour which makes things a little bit easier
  21. Never understood the cabana, doesn't seem appealing at all
