  1. Another item is that comped sailings are eligible for MoveUp however you have to email CelebrityMoveUp@celebrity.com your booking number no earlier than 21 days.
  2. Entirely possible a misinformed info, however they told me drink package discounts only and I do know they don't offer any internet discount because I've asked and they had to transfer me. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'll ask them the next time I call possibly tomorrow. IMO, it would make a lot of sense for them to include the discounted items in the email offer but perhaps it's by design they don't.
  3. You have to call X, the regular line not the casino line as if you call the casino line they'll transfer you. Booking online with CC discounts has always been a problem regardless if it's a comped offer or paid in full. Per speculation it's by design, a way to get more money out of people as X hopes folks don't realize the price doesn't include the CC discount when buying online.
  4. Some general packing items I recommend: 1) A small/collapsible umbrella 2) Backpack for excursions 3) Liquids, can buy water/soda/wine at the embarkation ports supermarket and drop them off with the porters 4) Air Freshener 5) Backups: Bring two pairs of sunglasses, backup phone charging cable and if you're sensitive to the sun, I always bring two hats, one that I try to keep dry and the other I may use while in the hot tub, pool or on an excursion where I'd expect to sweat a lot
  5. You basically need to call the BCC and ask them which should only take 5mins. They're open 7 days a week and usually there isn't a wait unless they send out a mass comped room offer. Occasionally BCC emails go out with your tier level yet they often don't include your recent sailings. Some have stated they're had luck emailing them, I haven't lately and prefer to call since there usually isn't a wait.
  6. Generally the martini bar will do the stacked pours when a lot of people order the same martini therefore it's just a matter of timing. With the late night DJ crowd, often the majority of the people attend are the ships crew and/or staff/entertainers.
  7. Thanks for the review, I'll be on her several times during her current sailing. I'd imagine except for some holiday sailings, the overwhelming majority of sailings this season will have a very limited capacity.
  8. Those on the Millie's panama canal sailing were in Curacao on Oct 13th received the treat of watching the Xpedition go through the platoon bridge.
  9. I actually agree with this, that the old locks are far much more interesting then the new. Only the Millie is scheduled to go through the full transit. I just did this on sept 30-Oct 15 and it was awesome, much more interesting than the new locks.
  10. Cheapest rates are like 3.5x more expensive on Fram then on X. On the sailing I'm booked on, it's over $10K/couple more to sail on Fram. Rhetorical question, while I understand Fram offers a better Antarctica experience, is seeing king penguins worth that extra expense? 🤔
  11. You'll go through the (slang, but it's easier to understand) the "Atlantic locks", turn around before reaching the "Pacific locks" and come back out the Atlantic locks.
  12. It must be 12 nights or more for the CC Elite special, on the Equinox this past May it was $19.95; I became Elite after that sailing. I have been on 9 cruises since the restart, I have never seen them advertise a fill the bag special.
  13. Very engaging right from the beginning! I see Eden Cafe is on your list, if you didn't already know, the Eden Cafe Cookies and Brownies are amazing. They are probably only available during lunch time on seadays. Have a great sailing
  14. The problem with the Edge's view is while the ocean is nice, there is a lot of traffic that walk by as its a major walkway; some folks are loud and many will stare at you/into the cabana. While that doesn't bother me, it does break the tranquil moment. When facing the pooldeck, the walkway in front of you isn't as major so far less will walk in front of you.
  15. It's a great concept, parents drop off their kids and the parents can get drunk for seven days straight. I personally would LOVE if IoS had a quarterly 18+ adult only sailings.
  16. More like McDonald's playground over the Caribbean Sea.
  17. It's usually that the tour operators do not meet X's requirements including insurance requirements. I often book non-ship/independent group tours and many previously recommended operators have told me they changed their business model since they didn't have cruise ship pax for a 1.5 years. A lot are saying you need to prepay up front, are non-refundable and if your ship is late you need to re-book for a different day (which doesn't work for a lot of cruise pax).
  18. The filet itself was replaced by a sirloin or something. Check the MDR menu for the Solstice next mom but don't see a kid section yet
  19. The daily canapés seem to be plucked from the buffet and I always tell my steward on the first day to not bring them when staying concierge/AQ. Even if in an inside room you can request your steward bring a daily afternoon plate of cheese and fruit.
  20. Yup! It'll be rare a couple without kids would find the Icon appealing just like if a couple had four kids, they probably wouldn't find X appealing
  21. Not the case currently on any recent ships I’ve been on including the Millie and the ‘Nox
  22. The NY Sirloin, which is thing along with the prime rib, is on the timeless classics meaning it can be ordered any night. Until recently you could order a 4oz filet off the kids menu.
  23. Yup, my sailing also has it on night 7. Not gone but moved to the last night for some reason. Also Wellington has a tenderloin
