  1. Guessing what you’re trying to ask is has anyone been forced to disembark mid cruise or during a port visit, correct?
  2. If you don't like something, keep it simple, just ask for another one because no matter the conversation you have with the wait staff, the outcome will be the same, they'll simply grab you another one. If you really want to put up a stink go to guest service to attempt to pass it along to the F&B team On a recent sailing when in Blu, I saw a pointless conversation between our neighboring table pax and a poor waiter. At times the pax were condescending yet the worst part was how long-winded and pointless their rants were; I believe it was at least 3mins. How the "quality has really gone downhill", how they miss the "good ole days" of cruising when the steak would "melt in your mouth" but now it "takes 5mins of chewing" before they can swallow it. After all that, what was the outcome? Waiter brought them another steak...
  3. Jim, I have spent 10mins searching and can't seem to find anything. Didn't you one time post some sort of device/router/splitter that allows you log into X wifi on board and then split the signal for multiple devices? Trying to locate that
  4. Yes; as you can imagine as soon the crew announced something like "all food is frozen", pax ask "even at Blu/Luminae/Specialties?". I haven't been on the Beyond but would imagine it's the same at Le Voyage.
  5. Caught this, crew touching up, a couple of weeks ago on the Millie
  6. A very common misconception debunked by both galley tours and Q&As is that ships pick up fresh food from the ports they visit. While there can some exceptions for the most part nearly all of the food is picked up from the embarkation port
  7. For my personally I'll continue to bid a few ticks above the minimum for a sky suite (usually from AQ) as you really have nothing to lose assuming the price is right.
  8. Thanks, this brings up datapoint we haven't even considered such as it MAY only be tied to lower suites and also that you receive the outbid email immediately.
  9. I believe the rub many are feeling is that some targeted folks are receiving insider information emails that their current bid won’t win and to bid more by a specific amount. We don’t have enough datapoints to clearly identify who is targeted and what “inside info”, if any, is being revealed as it could be nothing more than marketing
  10. I just did the full transit on the old locks from the Millie two weeks ago and last Dec did the partial new locks on CCL. I believe on the Edge there's a stop in Panama and an X tour where you can go through the old locks in a small boat, if that's the case you'd actually get a much more intimate experience. Unlike the Carnival ship which was showing her age, the Millie is revolutionized, may simply come down to if you prefer the M-class or E-class, can't make a bad choice. https://www.celebritycruises.com/pcp-excursions/coln-panama-tours/wonders-of-engineering-panama-canal-locks-and-culebra-cut-cruise?excursionItemID=100000004102981274 "Board a local ferry and venture into the Panama Canal to experience the unforgettable sensation of crossing between two oceans in one day. Cruise through the Culebra Cut, the biggest structural challenge of the canal. Feel the waters slowly rise and fall as your captain navigates the massive lock system. Spend your day inspired by one of the greatest engineering feats in history."
  11. To many this won't matter yet it's scheduled to receive starlink Jan 2nd 2023, very possible it gets delayed.
  12. Wonder if this is on the Edge or Apex as well
  13. Whether on here or once on board, I haven't experienced anyone who felt entitled to a stateroom they bid on or anyone upset or stressed. I understand a WEAK bid doesn't mean much to us however it could be useful setting expectations for a first timer.
  14. All ships have a limited amount of power strips yet they're all on a first come first serve basis although suite guests can request them pre-sailing through their pre-sail concierge. If you need one it's recommended to head to your room ASAP (perhaps get the muster check in out of the way) and ask the steward.
  15. Don't like the MDR buzzer? Book a suite and during peak times you'll be rewarded with a Luminae buzzer...
  16. It's no secret there's a 5th E-Class ship, based on current copyrights, X maintains Pinnacle, Luxe and Elegance. Only info I heard about it is from Don's Family Vacations where he stated it will have more suites than any other X ship (no surprises there). While there could be a bunch of announcements encompassing different topics, I would imagine there would be something Capt Club specific
  17. I enjoy a balcony no matter what but greatly prefer a large balcony when there are things to see besides open ocean.
  18. You're confusing thawed/previously frozen with cooked from frozen without thawing
  19. While technically correct, X still sets the amounts, both min-max bid amounts and the amount of staterooms it deems eligible for bidding. There was a thread where someone said they had an inside, bid on a balcony, was told they won a balcony yet once they received their room number it for a royal suite; for the record many of us, myself included, were highly skeptical. However, someone chimed in who claimed they had insider knowledge and once PlusGrade completes the biddings, all they do is send X over a spreadsheet, X employees still have to change the cabins in their reservation system and therefore mistakes aren't unheard of. No idea if either of those claims were true. My WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) is that X can see the bid metrics at any time. Based on the very limited sample of datapoints, the conclusion (which may change later with more datapoints) is that those who bid either the minimum or perhaps near minimum will receive an increase your bid email if they're expected to lose. I do know that it isn't uncommon for the bid minimums to increase the closer you get to sail date which my WAG is because there's now less staterooms in that category available.
  20. These are my direct observations based on 9 X sailings, I was just off the 15 night Millie and the ship had very few wearing them. I was on the Mille 5 night over Feb where there was I’d guess 50 pax who were under 30, often their parents paid to bring their adult sons and daughters along, many of the youngins’ were indeed wearing them.
