  1. When did you receive the certificate, on the very night night? That's how Royal does it which supposedly X is joining/mirroring
  2. I did say (which you quoted) "shark-feeding" which was accompanied by a picture. If you want to dive with tigers, you do so in the Bahamas. Now where is there a higher concentration of tiger sharks, that I cannot answer, and is compounded by the fact they migrate
  3. As reported here, some have received an extra $150-ish charge in error bundled into their charge for a mini-bar charge. Be sure to check your final invoice amount against what's actually charged on your card
  4. I'm guessing there's a cutoff so may be SOL if you win 3 days out
  5. Same with St Thomas and some other locations. With ship dives at least you'll 100% receive a refund if it doesn't happen, receive free transportation, and generally won't take long so one could still explore the port on land. All those are wild cards with booking yourself and we were burned in Puerto Vallarta as the ship arrived an hour late due to a medical emergency; no refund or even a rain check. Specifically in St Thomas, we did JJ Shark Divers, they weren't doing transportation at the time and it was around $60/each round trip which included the taxi's "baggage fee" for the dive bag
  6. A private instructor/guide may be cheap in Bonaire because many just dive without one but it can get quite expensive in other locations. Some may have luck joining dive clubs where you can dive with other locals for free who know where the marine life like to hide Edit to add, often the ship dives are included during flash sales, could save up to 40% off
  7. Reach out to X/Celebrity on X/Twitter, they have POCs on every ship and will most likely speak to someone at Apex's shore excursions. No wetsuits are very uncommon, I believe you won't be able rent them the day of because its a smaller boat or something but can be arranged a day or two before by asking shore excursions to reach out to the dive operator
  8. We haven't won a moveup bid sooner than a week out but in two recent cases where we won around two weeks out we did receive updated eDocs with updated luggage tags. Also, we know the bidding is handled by the third-party MoveUp (PlusGrade) but we don't know if they have direct access to X's reservation system and may send X over a spreadsheet meaning there's a lot of manual work for X employees
  9. I used to be in this crowd then San Pedro/L.A. stopped doing this and forced the tagless into a long (30+ minutes) line where the porter will check your name and stateroom number before issuing your tags. Was told too many people were giving the porters the wrong room numbers, receiving their luggage late and therefore giving the terminal low marks on the survey. I spent $6 on amazon for luggage tag holders and now print them out as I'm not sure if and when other ports may do this
  10. Harmless little whitetip reef If you do a morning dive in Nassau which is possible on a single-day port stop, usually the blacktips come out as they feed them in the afternoon and therefore associate divers as a feeder
  11. For the "face your fears" crowd, the Bahamas are the Tiger shark-feeding capital of the world
  12. How do you enforce this? Many have reported here that when they report their neighbors smoking on their balcony, they send security who knocks on their door giving the smoker time to get rid of evidence. Some have reported that security shares the name/stateroom of the person who reported the issue with the offender
  13. That may cover personal listening but doesn't cover phone/video calls; some people are quieter when talking on speaker vs headphones also However, none of this bothers me; this idea won't happen as at best, there will be more specific cell phone usage language under the cruise contract code of conduct
  14. As stated in post #3, a used Rolex on board is not serviceable by Rolex, therefore it's like buying a vehicle that's salvaged
  15. Yes, buy the dip, it's still a solid investment over the long term and quite the gift to give to a family member a decade or two from now One example:
  16. Assuming one can afford it, buy a new or used Rolex and enjoy one of the only appreciating assets you can wear
  17. Be sure to check if their used watches are essentially "savaged" or repaired at a 3rd party repair company possibly using aftermarket parts; X does this with its used Rolex. When this happens the maker will no longer service them and the value plummets
  18. It must fall under disruptive behavior yet if you read the first sentence in the paragraph that you may not reserve chairs, we all know they hardly ever enforce that or the dinner dress code
  19. I get the true Luxury lines (older crowds) but X is a mass-market premium line and may scare people away from them
  20. What's is REALISTIC (Don't say a $10K fine and a permanent ban, lol) consequence for a first-time offense and repeat offenders?
  21. I don't know all their T&Cs, wouldn't they just refund you if a flight doesn't exist and then you can just rebook with FBC or whomever?
  22. No, as there would be too many complaints of X not enforcing the rules. It's not going to happen, X is trying to appeal to youngsters and they'd have to spend more money on staff to enforce the cell phone ban
  23. There wasn't any context. As most on here know, like it or not, if you're younger, thong swimsuits are in. Some wear almost fully transparent coverups and may walk around the ship this way
