  1. Always got on extension cord (non-surge) by putting it into the luggage that goes to the porter, they may get confiscated if you go through Xrays but many have reported success if they put their extension cord into their CPAP case Edit to add, the stateroom attendant will actually tape the cord to the carpet for you
  2. You're welcome back anytime. I'm saying not true with your comment that there are plenty. Also there are some people who need an extension for medical purposes such as a CPAP. While there are SOME on board, they're first come first serve so good luck getting one unless someone wants to be one of the first ones on the ship
  3. In addition to "not true", for the past several years most new devices come with a USB-C charging cable which do not work in the ship's USB-A ports so at a minimum you'll need to purchase a USB-C to USB-A adapter or cable which ironically can cost more than an extension cord especially if its an Apple device
  4. If you read social media sailing groups this always comes up often accompanied by CPAP machine The consensus is it's the lesser of all evils to bring a non-surge extension cord and put it in your luggage that goes to the porter
  5. It's best to avoid traditional watch gifts for the youngins' unless they specifically asked for one as they may see it as a burden to only wear it when they're in your presence. Most "kids" these days may not want a traditional wristwatch regardless of brand and even if given a Rolex would much rather sell it. Most want smartwatches as they allow them to see and interact with notifications without removing their phone from their bag or pocket From "Ms. Nuts" who works in a hospital, most new smartwatches have heart rate monitors and are really good at identifying heart issues by monitoring heart rate irregularities. Some people's hearts are very sensitive to heavy drinking (while overall it's very uncommon, stroke and seizure-inducing A-Fib is the most likely heart issue associated with a young healthy person drinking) which those in their early 20s are known to do
  6. I agree up to a certain duration but if you're doing B2B or even a 10-night sailing with a pre and post-sail hotel stay, I do understand some may want the comforts of home. Yet opinions including mine do not matter as its the individuals vacation and they will bring what they want to bring
  7. The FDA has a rule that allows deli meat to be left out for up to two hours so it's possible they are replacing them every so often yet I have no idea if they actually do that
  8. Like it or not, at the buffet they leave out in the open both sandwiches and cold cuts
  9. To piggyback off of this, there are some valid reasons but at the end of the day, for reasons we might not understand, some would rather be on the ship than to be somewhere else. Yet by doing so you potentially miss out on a great local land lunch. Additionally, you miss out on making more memories as you'll hardly remember the first few hours after boarding but will probably remember going on a tour like an airboat ride and/or having a great land lunch and/or have a little adventure even if that's just relaxing on the beach
  10. For the most part 330-331 days for the biggest airlines, I am just pointing out there are some airlines that vary
  11. Them stating “Not common” is a cop out, we don't know if that means one per saiiling, one per month, quartetly, annually, etc
  12. You failed to provide any helpful recommendations of your own. If one wants no AF, the citi double cash or chase freedom unlimited are usually recommended. With that being said, the person I quoted asked on here asked how to transfer credit points to partner miles/points. The Costco card is a great easy card that you don't have to worry about redemptions, I standby this recommendation. This also doesn't mean I don't recommend other cards but will need more info to determine what best suits their spending habits in addition to ones willingness to hunt for favorable point redemptions. If you live in an airline hub city like Atlanta with Delta, newark with united, etc, and find yourself checking bags often but don't make the minimum requirements for status, their best bet would probably be an airline credit card which gives them and one companion free checked bags and possibly free access to better coach seats like exit rows or the front
  13. No change fee, you can go into manage trip, select change, select your cities and date(s) then it'll show you the fare difference. If the new flight is cheaper you'll receive a future flight credit for the difference
  14. I wonder what happens on turn around day after the passengers leave and the stateroom attendant notices them while changing the sheets? Do they notify the previous passengers?
  15. My WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) is its a lot more common than we think because a lot of cruiser stay in a random hotel/airbnb the night before the sailing and bed bugs spread easily
  16. It's too late now but the best course of action would have been to report it on board. Also, without photographic evidence taken on the ship, it's really a he-said-she-said dynamic. Pretty confident this whole thread will be deleted anyways
  17. Yeah, that's when they come in handy when they have $XXX off specials. Just curious, how do you get notified when there are offers? I'm hoping the answer isn't that the offer is buried in one of the four daily emails Celebrity sends me (lol)
  18. Glad it worked! There are pros with flights by celebrity but they will charge a change fee after final payment even if the airline doesn't charge so that aspect is a con for some people. As I'm sure you know, a change fee is an entirely different animal than a fully refundable ticket 🙂
  19. If you're countering my statement, you believe globally, 51% of airlines charge change fees on non-BASIC fares, that aren't ultra-low-cost carriers? You're in Canada, Canada Airlines does charge change fees on their non-BASIC fares but United, American, Delta, Jetblue, Alaska, etc all fly to Canada and do not charge change fees for example
  20. Try a different browser so if you're using Edge, try Chrome, etc Assuming you don't book the BASIC fare or an ultra-low carrier like Spirit, most airlines do not charge change fees nowadays. FBC does charge a fee for a change after final payment
  21. On our last move-up win, it was the same thing. My WAG ("Wild A$$ Guess") on X's reservation side, there's still a lot of manual work to be done so you won in the bidding software and now an X employee has to do something on their side
  22. Posting a celebrity video on CC's Celebrity sub-forum would result in 100 views at best, they would get virtually nothing but it is about exposure. Most cruise YouTubers do sail on the big 3 as they'll get more views. Some of the larger YouTubers even get free cruises fare but that doesn't provide airfare. So the Youtuber will try and spin that into saying "It isn't really free because I had to drop $6000 on a pair of business class airfare as my wife and I can't fly in coach across the pond". They're still going to provide a mostly positive review in hopes they get future free cruises Kids these days want to be influencers, and basically have no real job other than videotaping your life. Can we blame them nowadays?
  23. On the Beyond this past May, they didn't have anything listed as "premium". Also to our surprise, there were no limits on anything. The food taste was definitely a huge step up from the MDR / Blu. While many will say to try the cookie skillet which you should as it is free, just know they use the same cookie dough as free cookies at Cab Al Bacio/buffet
  24. It wasn't perfect but you do get to visit an array of Asia areas. The OPs are probably retired where time off isn't a problem so perhaps doing a B2B with an Japan exclusive itinerary is the way to go
