  1. I'm just guessing, perhaps there's a certain cutoff when you open sailings in the app, perhaps it's only sailings in the next 6 months or 12 months?
  2. Visual aid...Click the upper righthand corner first
  3. With the name, my WAG (Wild A$$ Guess), X felt "Tuscan" is the most Italian sounding location. Think if they called it Rome, Pisa, Florence, etc., none have the same ring to it as Tuscan. Example, "For dinner tonight do you want to try the MDR Rome?" With the elimination of the Italian specialty restaurant, it's one of the least booked specialty restaurants. Many on this board have stated that it should NOT be a specialty restaurant. It's also often discounted in the cruise planner which is telling.
  4. I'll share some interesting facts with Italian food and fresh vs dried pasta in Italy...Italian food in Italy is quite different in America, many Americans find that authentic Italy food tastes bland since they aren't "garlic bombs". In Italy, except for a few dishes, they don't add meat to their pasta dishes, pasta is served like a side dish. In Italy, the dish of Spaghetti and meatballs with red sauce simply doesn't exist. In Italy, dried and fresh pasta are made with different flour and is a different recipe. They generally use dried pasta cooked al dente or slightly undercooked with a "bite" to it for the majority of their pasta dishes. They use fresh pasta for things like tortellini or ravioli.
  5. One reason you might NOT want to put your tags on until after the airport is if you're unable to properly secure it. Stapling printed paper isn't a super secure method, stapling and using clear packing tape on the printed tags is much more secure and somewhat water resistant. Personally I stopped worrying about tags as it's a more VIP experience to let the porters handle them. At the port if you don't have your tags, the porters will pull out a blank tag and write your room number on them. I've always received my bags within an hour from boarding the ship.
  6. No. Yes, E-Class Tuscan mirrors any MDR. No, they do not make their own pasta, the E-Class Tuscan isn't a "secret"/free specialty restaurant; it is a MDR.
  7. At one time it was offered as a PAID service (in addition to the baggage fee) in FLL
  8. Thanks for the reply, would you mind elaborating on what other problems there were? I'm on the infinity FB group which is ship specific but not sailing specific, all recent reports say the AC hasn't been an issue
  9. I had read multiple reports, one right here on CC and the others on FB that the AC was fixed. You're the first person I've heard state the AC issue remains. So they didn't move you to another stateroom or did they give you any compensation?
  10. The time of year, the time of week and fare costs all contribute. If it's over spring break/holiday and/or a weekend, much higher odds it'll be a booze cruise. Same goes for the costs, if you search the cost of insides and oceanviews and see one sailing is significantly cheaper than other sailings it increases the odds of that sailing being a booze cruise.
  11. Email the CEO and one of her exec team will answer it; this is the only way to get things done. Countless examples of folks emailing the engagement center who claim to "pass their suggestion along" and never receiving a reply then folks getting suggestions implemented and/or things resolved (even petty things) by getting the exec team involved. Some folks may not like this approach but emailing the CEO gets things done, arguing your viewpoint with random people on CC is a pointless waste of time.
  12. Which ship and I'm surprised the host or concierge wasn't able to do anything...They have a waitlist, perhaps one needs to ask to be put on it; they've always offered to put me on it
  13. To prevent the spread of mis-information this is why people shouldn't post reviews mid cruise, they should wait until the sailing is complete. "NO AC" was for the first couple of days on the return to sailing; every live review I saw on here and FB said the lack of AC was resolved. With all that being said, it sounds like there are still slow service and food issues (some claims of very long waits for food when the food comes and it's cold) and several have reported the wifi is the slowest in the fleet. Great for team "I'm retired, don't use the internet" bad for team "Not retired, I can cruise more often if I can occasionally get some work done".
  14. Once you're on board you can make requests and the more flexible you are the better chance you have of receiving it. Doesn't matter if you purchase in advance or on board. For example, if you want a 6pm reservation, tell the host the days you'd be interested. People change their reservations all the time.
  15. One tip for those who want a guy due to wanting a more intense/deeper tissue massage, book the first appointment of the day when the massage therapists hands are the strongest.
  16. Just a datapoint, the Infinity is charging $59 flat (no additional gratuity) for Le Petit
  17. Double whammy of bad news, unless something changes, no discounts on board and now there’s a forced 18% gratuity charge making a dinner for two at $55 a $129.80 charge. I’ve been on six sailings since the restart including the equinox. They have a manned specialty restaurant station right by the buffet entrance, I’ve heard many asking for a discount and be told no unless you buy a package, then you can receive the slight package discount.
  18. That’s the pre-cruise discount which generally isn’t as much as the CC discount. It could vary by ship but they’ll give you the discount on-board and usually right in the app
  19. 100% agree; it’s probably a money grab where they hope they don’t have give discounts/upgrades.
  20. Since the restart on the Edge has anyone seen a show in the Eden with the entertainers in costume (not a band)? I was on the edge in July 2021, no shows besides musicians. They may only be on apex and beyond at the moment
  21. Brace wire is NOT meant to be ingested, it’s thicker, more rigid & therefore more dangerous than most thinner and more flexible bristle wires.
  22. lol, right back at ya...Luckily, doctors have anti-cheating protocols in place, X doesn't (probably because they don't care)
  23. Basically they're the only shop around; they're the same company as Neal Watson, not sure if they merged or one bought the other out but they're the same. I'm booked with them.
  24. At least one person posts the answers every quiz; most who post the answers have a different mindset, they don't see themselves as a cheat, they see themselves as being helpful.
  25. We know the worst case scenario (this) and the best case scenario (nothing happens), the question is, how often will someone need medical attention after ingestion? I posted an article that states if someone ingests brace metal wire (which is typically far more rigid than a brush bristle), which is capable of tissue puncture, 80-90% of incidents won't need medical attention.
