  1. If you "forget" that you had a couple bottles in your checked luggage, it just might make it onto your stateroom and if not, they'll still deliver them to your room on the last day
  2. I have several travel cards so for the past two years, I've been trying to downgrade the CSR to the CSP but they keep throwing retention offers; maybe next year will be the year All the insurances are great and the best is the primary rental car insurance Also, a lot of people don't know/forget, if you buy things like electronics with the card, you get an extended warranty but you have a very limited window to register the item with and upload the receipt
  3. Other than the intro bonus, the card is pretty pointless (had to!). You have to spend so much to gain so little. If you have or are willing to get a Costco membership, their cash back card gives you so much for your spend without an annual fee. You can do far better if you're willing to play the points game yet that isn't for everyone
  4. Wow! I stand corrected, guess I missed the boat (had to!) on them updating the policy. With that being said, if one forgets that they left a few bottles in their checked luggage, there's a chance they make it on and if they don't, you get them back on the last day
  5. Absolutely agree with this and I'll add we have to remember even if the burger is launched with descent quality patties, they could downgrade at any time. In the MDR, the description does mention anything about the patties
  6. Most ports do not enforce suggested boarding windows and if you're willing to self carry off, you can be the first group off the ship
  7. Please mention the lack of Maine lobster despite royal Caribbean and carnival recently changing to Maine
  8. If you didn't know: 1) You can order any of the MDR "exclusives" in any MDR dining room. To put it another way, you can be in the Cosmo MDR and order off the Tuscan MDR menu 2) Any MDR's host/check-in person can look up the wait times at all four restaurants. When we dine on the E-Class which includes the Beyond, we pick a restaurant at random and ask the host which MDR has the shortest wait and dine there (occasionally, they'll still be a choice to make between two MDRs). Sometimes it's fun to leave it to fate
  9. RCG, G = Group, is the parent company for both RCI and X, the only thing they have in common are some fees. Otherwise, they're polar opposites, even the complimentary lobster tails as X has the lesser Spiny while RCI has the Maine variety. RCI has kids, a water park, aqua theater, ice skating rink, flow rider, branded Broadway shows (like Cats), loud rock and roll bands, a comedian lounge often with nightly comedians, Johnny Rockets, pool side BBQ, etc
  10. 1) Don't rely on getting one on the ship...There's only a limited number and they're first come, first serve...Total crapshoot to when you meet your cabin attendant and when they'll actually go look for one 2) If you elect pack a non-surge one, put it in your checked/porter luggage
  11. All the info is in the URL below, but simply call 1-888-751-7804 and ask. If they can't match you never know, they might give you a small OBC at you https://www.celebritycruises.com/company/customer-support/best-price-guarantee
  12. Done! For the non-suite peasants, like myself, if you get a newer carnival ship the complimentary offering are far better on Carnival. This is in part due to them making two specialty restaurant free (dinner at Guy's BBQ, Italian and the Mexican/Asian)...However, any ship with Guy's BBQ which may only offer lunch will provide a much better lunch than any complimentary lunch on X. You also get more entertainment choices and I hear from a lot of cruising regulars on X that "we no longer go to (X) shows". On carnival, in addition to the main show, you generally have a rock band in the atrium, sing along piano bar, karaoke and multiple comedians every night
  13. Haven't tried the Lawn Club and did try the rooftop garden grill, problem with it is you pay a relatively high cover charge and can eat as much as you like. Why waste the stomach real estate on a burger when you could have a filet, BBQ ribs, BBQ brisket, etc (rhetorical)?
  14. @vkb2751, you're on the Equinox right now, correct? If you order and take a pic of the double cheeseburger, you'd be the first one to do so!
  15. I hate calling but I’ve had emails take days/2 week/never…Calling is quick and easy
  16. Deep down, we all know the answer, it’s because you have to pay a fee
  17. Good to know they only try to meet their competitors, not exceed them Besides Princess, who do they consider their competitors? 🤔
  18. Get airtags or some sort of tracking device even if you only carry on as you still may be forced to gate/bridge check it I didn't read every post...Just pointing out, there are stories of folks still losing their carryon due to being forced to check it at the gate check or the bridge due to the aircraft's overhead space being full. If you're booking "basic" airfare, most airlines force you to board in the last group and your odds increase of overhead bins being full and you needing to gate/bridge check it In the traveling community, due to luggage insurance, some are routing for their baggage to be delayed/lost so they can go on a mini-shopping spree
