    Just need to put this out there. You seem to be focused on the Dream to be a smallish sized ship. It's pretty much the same size as the Vista class. It just has different features.

    Check out the difference between the 2 in space-to-passenger ratings. I'd choose Spirit....especially if you're not traveling with kids.

    SOTS?.....as in Symphony? Since it's this late into the NHL postseason, I would expect at least Playmakers to have it on. They most likely will stream it through one of the ESPN channels. If you meant Serenade.....I don't have high hopes for that one.

    It was a big factor as to why I cancelled my Carnival Magic NYC 4 nighter to Bermuda. All that inconvenience for 7.5 hours in port made it not worth it to us. (Sailed to Bermuda 5 times already too)

    The Vista class also has some of the lowest space-to-passenger ratings too.

    They had the platinum event on my Legend sailing in March. Though it didn't include finger foods and games w/prizes. Just drinks and the roll call for the ships in the fleet.

    On today's Chris Wong YouTube page, he comments that after 1 week of shore leave, crew are not allowed off the ship port again. This is on the Ovation in Alaska.

    Just wondering.....have there been staff shortages in the premium restaurants or anywhere else that requires an extra fee?

    With the extra-stringent cleaning procedures in between cruises, they need the previous passengers off earlier to accommodate for time to have the cabins/public areas ready according to the latest protocols.

    I was on the Legend in March and the beers were in 16oz aluminum bottles. Looks like they're in 12oz cans now.

    It worked for me on my 4 day.

    They had one on the Legend in March. All you drink for an hour, but they eliminated the small finger foods/appetizers. Also, no contests to win prizes either.

    With the negative press the Spirit and the Valor received the past week, not so sure Carnival can afford to jack up their price too much.

    I always get off the ship for Half Moon Cay. I use Nassau to enjoy an empty ship......which isn't so empty anymore.

    Other reasons I'd choose the second choice is because I'd rather not sail in late July. A) While Sept will be hot, July would be like taking a cruise to the sun. B) Summer time family crowds.
