That's what I remember..... Not all cruise lines do it so I wasn't sure.

Grand Cayman is an hour behind Eastern time. We were just there and our scheduled time to dock was 8:00AM ship time which was actually 7:00 AM local time (non Celebrity ship). Haven't been on Celebrity for a few years now so I forget if they keep ET as the ship time.

Just off Paradise. We were on the starboard side and were facing away from the shore, looking into another ship. Probably depends on who gets there first.

I'm sure the better jobs are on the bigger ships so you really only see the cream of the crop. On the smaller ships they are probably new in their career or basically just aren't that good or they'd be promoted. Just my thoughts. But honestly, other than opening the shows, I really don''t see them or care who's the CD. But, with that said, they probably do make a difference behind the scenes. Like the Captain, they set the tone of the cruise. A good Captain or CD probably also have a good crew. That's where the difference is to me.

There really isn't a delay. We got ours back recently in 4 weeks. Just send it in and you will he it back. Now if she waits another 3 weeks to send it in......

Thanks all. Looking to do a snorkel excursion and they all want you on shore by 8:30 (9:30 ship time). I am only Gold so don’t have any status on Carnival. We dock at 8 ship time. Just not sure we can get off on time. The Carnival excursions are at Least 30% more and go to 2 less snorkel spot so we are not interested. Since we dock at 8, what are the odds of us getting off by 9:00 ship time? We are on a small ship, the Paradise. Just a quick 5 night cruise. Thanks

Hi All, We've never taken a tender on Carnival. Going to Grand Cayman in a couple of months and wondering how the process works. Each cruise line is a bit different. We need to be one of the first tenders off do to a early non Carnival tour. Thanks Duane
