Same here but March. Celebrity isn't showing any excursions

Had an issue booking an excursion. Was getting an error message when I tried to pay. It told me to remove my dining and try again. Lol... I was booking an excursion. IT at it's finest. Called and got booked and the agent said it was because there are age and weight requirements. Not sure if that's true but it's booked! 45% savings is nice

I'm just a normal cruiser. No Regent or Oceania for me. Out of my budget for a cruise but a cruise is just a small part of our vacation portfolio. Fancy, huh, vacation portfolio... lol But we do take a lot of non cruise vacations. Been sailing almost exclusively Celebrity since 2007. Family situations and Covid broke that streak but went back last April. One of the best cruises we have been on. We only sail in a balcony so don't expect any special treatment but everyone we had contact with was pleasant, especially if we smiled and said hello. Food was good but then we are nor foodies so take it for what it's worth. The only issue I have is the entertainment isn't that good. Is it less than it was years ago? Sure but not as far off as most people post. It's still a bit above many cruise lines and it's still our preferred when the prices are right. We have no interest in spending the money for the luxury lines. We go just to have fun, we don't need to be pampered or catered to. Just be nice and give us good food and we'll be happy... lol

And Carnival charges like $5 for a little bag. See, Celebrity does care.... lol

I'll attempt to answer your question. It sure seems you're correct. The rule on any bidding site is always bid at the last minute. That is unless they award bids earlier. Might be the case here, they got rid of a lot excess cabins so they raised the price. Interesting to hear when people actually received they upgrade. Was it a week before or a day or 2 before?

My wife had never sailed Celebrity and I contacted them before we left so she now has Elite status. She gets all the benefits.

100% agree. If you went by these boards you would never cruise. Out April ABC cruise on the Equinox was one of our best ever. And yea, they took our free room service away but we lived.... Go and have fun. PS, Virgin is not even on my radar....... My my type of cruise...

Don't take this the wrong way, but does anyone really need a butler? Never booked a suite because we take 4 or 5 decent vacations a year and don't want to spend that kind of money for a cruise. But if I did, I think I'd book for the Retreat, drinks, dining, bigger room, etc. a butler would never even enter into my thoughts. What do they actually do? Out of, probably 20 cruises I can't think of anytime I would have needed a butler. Again, nothing wrong with it but is a butler really necessary? Have great cruise!

We went in while on the Equinox to check out a couple of cruises. The prices were twice what we were paying for that cruise. needless to say we didn’t stay long. Oh and we were the only ones in there.

You are correct. They don’t care as long as revenue is high. Loyalty only goes one way.

I disagree. We sail mainly in the Caribbean but do so when kids are in school and cruise 8+ days. Very relaxing. Weather is great, islands aren't filled with summer vacation peeps.....

Sounds bad but I really don't care. The market will take care of itself. Since a cruise is just one of our vacations each year if Celebrity fails to impress then we will move on. We travel a lot and if we didn't cruise we'd probably be OK with that. That being said, we probably had one of the best cruises ever last April on the Equinox. Just a very nice cruise.

Non-suite people all the way here..... We had one of our best cruises on the Equinox in April. People complaining about the MDR, we were fine. My biggest disappointment was the loss of free room service. I know to some it doesn't matter but we use it a lot on sea days. Heck, coming back from an excursion too. This was one of the things that set Celebrity apart. We did final payment then they took it away. Should have been grandfathered in.....lol Anyway, we've been on Carnival, NCL and RCCL and they were all OK and we had a blast. At this point I won't pay much more for Celebrity than I would any other line.

I'm Elite (Celebrity status that is, lol) and my wife never sailed Celebrity. I contacted Captains Club and now she is Elite and gets all the benefits. Easy...

Hi all, looking at an excursion and I have to make my way to their site. They are offering a round trip taxi for $80 from the cruise port to Jolly Harbour. Just seems excessive based on taxis on other islands. Is this in line? The taxi cost is the same as the excursion Thanks

We’ve rented on many islands with ‘local’ companies. No issue. You always have your credit card protection if it’s bad enough.

I don't know.... many people like him. And even if you don't he's an out of box thinker with money... lol . There wouldn't be such advancement in electric cars without him

After reading such great reviews about Spencer I decided to put a deposit down for early next year. They offered everything we wanted. So I go to book and find out they don’t offer the tour on the Monday we are there. Ugh! Plenty of time to look for something else I guess…….
