  1. Did the cooking class today, not a big hit for us. You make a ribeye at to eat at 10:30am. Well you season it, place on grill, flip when chef says, remove when he says and mine was still mostly rare. It wasn’t too great tasting and my daughter’s wasn’t the best quality. We ate a few bites and left. Cute aprons though. For the price I can’t say I’d recommend this activity.
  2. There’s some rusty spots. My balcony and chairs aren’t great. Bottom drawer in cabin broken. Saw a part of a balcony awning break on the book of face group. Public areas are beautiful. I’ve seen no problems.
  3. I wrote a breakup post after my February cruise on NCL Encore so I know where you are coming from. I’m on Summit now and enjoying but it’s my first Celebrity cruise. It’s not a luxury cruise like Regent, Seabourn, or Crystal but it’s a step up from NCL to me. Maybe it’s time to try something new?
  4. Tonight’s meal was more a miss than a hit. We had to wait over 40 minutes for a table. We didn’t have our usual team and missed them. We waited 20 minutes to order and the maitre’d took the order. Never had wine refill or water. Left before dessert. So service not great. Food wasn’t the best, crab cake just ok, tried escargot from MDR and loved, Blu Caesar was good (brought the one from MDR and had to exchange). Lobster was ok but very salty. The rice was disgusting and tasted like iodine.
  5. Enjoyed last night in Tuscan Grille but we both enjoy Blu more. I’m not sure I would go every cruise but it was nice. Mr B the maitre’d was awesome. Is he old school Celebrity?
  6. I’m hoping it’s better by Sunday when we arrive! The pics my husband sent early in the week were crazy! The weather might not have been great in Bermuda but the air has been good!
  7. We are Sapphire as well with NCL. The Summit gives a Spirit or Jewel class vibe. I love that the game shows are in a proper lounge. I hate the atrium for entertainment. During the sea days, there are more activities than trivia. Golf putting, archery, pickle ball, arts and crafts, music by the pool. The live music is going later than it did on Encore in February. The parties at night are fun if you like to dance. The Motown one started as a show then opened up to a party.
  8. There is hand sanitizer bottles in cabin, a table full to take some ashore, no self service in buffet. The captain mentioned “the virus” in his daily briefings and stressed hand washing. He did not mention Covid or noro specifically although it seems more noro vibes. My cruise in February has lots of coughing by day four and I haven’t been noticing it this time.
  9. Last night, two games. One was yes or no at 8pm but we had our dinner in Tuscan Grille. At 10:15, Majority Rules…spoiler alert…we won!!!
  10. We’ve done Regent three times and it was excellent!! My favorite luxury though is Crystal. I’m excited to see how the new Crystal is when it returns.
  11. Oceania Insignia. The lobster looks amazing but I don’t groove with veal. Oceania claims to spend the highest dollar per passenger for food.
  12. No canapés. But the temperature of food has been good except my French toast was stone cold. portion of apps is small but my rib eye was huge last night
  13. Rainy day so far. We won general trivia with the tie breaker! Really enjoying Luca the host for trivia. Had fun dancing at Pride Party on deck last night. Not sure if we will go out or just relax in Solarium. tonight is Tuscan Grill!
  14. To me the canned water is not so much metallic but a hint of sweet and seems “thick”. I like the ship water better or aqua panna since I have the premium package.
  15. Casual for sure. Very nice menu! Enjoy!
  16. Very easy walk! Glad to hear about Oceania! I’m trying them in September!
  17. Tied a team in general trivia but lost tie-breaker which was questions about the host, Luca. Kinda funny as it was all guessing about his siblings. Now it’s a cucumber martini before dressing for dinner
  18. Today we are in Bermuda and I tried to count how many times I have been here which I think is 14? We played mini golf which is a great course designed after famous golf holes around the world. Last year, I won both times but she was the winner today by two strokes. My performance on the Augusta National hole was abysmal. We hit the Frog and Onion for Rum Swizzles and lunch. The fish chowder, onion rings and local wahoo bites were delicious. I wasn’t surprised my daughter was questioned if she was of age because she often gets asked if she wants a kids menu at 20! Our waiter was very pleasant and told us he used to work on the NCL Majesty, a ship we loved.
  19. Last night was another great meal in Blu. Crispy potatoes, gazpacho, Lobster salad, Dorade all excellent. But dessert….might be my favorite dessert in all my cruises! My daughter feels the meals have been close to Crystal level meals.
  20. The jets in both hot tubs in Solarium are not functioning. They have lots of paint chipping but are very warm water. The jets in pool work great and my view is fantastic
  21. Heading up to solarium now and I’ll check it all out. The main pool jets were good. I’ll see about hot tubs
  22. We won pub trivia. 9/15 and went to tie breaker. Sent my daughter up to play and she won. No prizes just bragging rights. now it’s an Interactive Motown party. Let’s see what that’s all about.
  23. On the upside my Stinger is lovely although I usually get it on the rocks.
  24. Drinking the Rain water in the cans and I don’t think we like it much. Some taste ok and some taste strange. All taste kind of sweet. I think I prefer the ship water but I like having bottles at night. Any opinions on it? Is there a different water I could get with the premium package?
