  1. I think having a venue like Spinnaker helps the Atrium problem. Unfortunately they did away with these larger lounges on the breakaway class
  2. $425 for old rip 10 year. It’s only 70 for a bottle.
  3. I had it from Ocean Blue on Joy and even though calamari was not listed it was loaded with it. It was so chewy, like rubber bands. It sounded so good too
  4. I’m on Encore next month. Not too happy about all the changes recently. I’ve experienced many changes since my first NCL cruise in 2007 but this seems like so much at once. I’ll definitely blog about my trip and probably do a live here.
  5. They list Bullitt in the Matador which you can find at the Local or Osheehans but that’s sweet too
  6. The Woodford Old Fashioned is included though at one bar (usually Maltings) but I know that may be too sweet for some.
  7. So it’s just the daily cocktails from the sail and sustain…I’ve tried them all but I guess you learn the recipes…
  8. I’m excited to try it!! I would rather have an unchanging menu of solid dishes than the hit or miss nights.
  9. Great job on the live. Sorry I didn’t get to meet you this week. Hanging at Shakers now enjoying some great guitar. Maybe Bliss later and some osheehan’s
  10. It might be hard to get crispy if baked
  11. If I gave up cruising for each time something wasn’t “perfect” I’d have a very small signature. The little imperfections honestly sometimes make memories. Travel isn’t perfect but neither am I!
  12. That’s what I feel cruise “critic” is about. It’s ok to not like everything…and ok to share. I enjoy reading good and bad after all my years here. I usually do a live lately but there’s two right now. I’ll post a review at home though I think and of course I’ll update my blog. Alpacamybagsblog dot com with tons of food porn. If you want the good wing pics….check out the Feb Haven cruise on Joy or club balcony one in June. And here’s a bonus. The crab toast at Raw Bar. Oh wow. It’s out of this world. Extra charge or you can use dining there (four items). I might have to get it one more time. I also learned you can order full menu from ocean blue at bar
  13. The Majesty….those were the days as well.
  14. The Ruben was stellar the first day! I tried after the rave reviews. And mozzarella sticks…they were so popular on our spirit cruise in the Med years ago they ran out!!
  15. No worries! I hope people do like them and if not I hope they return to the awesomeness that once was. But I know they wings are a cult fave so that’s why I posted. It won’t stop me from cruising NCL that’s for sure.
  16. Some people might prefer this and that’s great but it’s a change from something I’ve enjoyed since 2008. The after hours wings was a good time.
  17. It’s the preparation. I guess they are saving on oil and flour though.
  18. Nah too much work. My waistline will thank me for not having them so that’s a plus
  19. That explains a lot. Kinda a slimy texture with the glaze especially
  20. So bad news for me anyway. On board the Breakaway now and the chicken wings are different. The Buffalo sauce is more of a glaze and the wings do not have flour anymore (according to the waiter). There’s no little crunch parts. It’s a naked wing now. The sauce seemed different on embarkation but not crazy spicy. Last night, it was so spicy I could not eat. He ordered the Korean because in the Joy this year they were the hottest. My husband who is a spice fantastic judges them as very hot. I’m sad because the wings have always been top notch. Now it’s something that’s just ok if it was like embarkation. But I guess it’s healthier for me now lol.
  21. Always enjoy your trip reports! I’m on board and will look for you to say hi!
  22. Ate at the same place in Portland and loved the music! Found more lobster and clams today after Cadillac Mt tour Trying to decide on evening agenda.
