  1. I have excellent insurance, but my copay on inhalers is $45. I got inhalers for $3 each in Ensenada this past summer.

Thanks for the info. The copay on my inhalers is 25 and 30. Will have to pick up a couple

  2. Yes my daughter and nephew parasailed at Mr. Sanchos back in November 2012. You can let them know when you check in that you are interested or the vendor usually walks up and down the beach. They also have Jet Skis there too.

    Thank you!!

  3. We were in 12520: Balcony is large enough for two loungers with a table in between and two arm chairs with a table in between.

We chose that one because the balcony is in the front, and you can look forward to the bridge and and toward the front of the boat.

The door of that suite is right by the stairs and elevators, but with our suite door closed, we never heard any noise.

One nice thing: if you are a party of six....we could go out the door, up the stairs, and use the public restrooms on deck 13 when out bathroom was occupied.

    Have fun planning!

We were on the other side of the ship from you in 12020. We loved it!! I had booked the balcony cause DH is a smoker, now that smoking isn't allowed on the balconies, we are going to try a family suite with no balcony...

  4. Ship - DAWN

    Deck - 12

    Stateroom # - 12020

Stateroom Category – Family Suite with balcony

Starboard or Port Side - port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – very

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - na

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Great balcony

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - normal

Was wind a problem? - at times

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - na

Any specific problems with this cabin? - If you are sitting on the balcony, people can look down onto the balcony from the sun deck

Any other comments? - There were only two of us in this suite that slept six, it was very spacious. I booked the balcony because DH is a smoker. Now that you cant smoke on the balcony we probably wont book a balcony suite again.

  5. And the Butler issue would be Karabi's issue. The butlers are supervised by the Concierge and if not satisfactory should be taken care of by them. Karabi is not one of our favorites, but she is passable. Virginia is a little better. John D'Souza sets the bar for Concierges!!

We have had all three and no major issues with any....

Got to know both Karabi (this past January) and Virginia (May, 2013). Really didn't interact too much with John D'Souza.

Hoping for either Karabi or Virginia on the Dawn this November.

  6. When hurricane Gonzalo hit Bermuda last October I believe the Dawn went to Florida/Bahamas but Explorer OTS went to NE/Canada.

We were on that cruise, we didn't stop in Florida, just Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay.....It was a great time!! Up until the time we got to the port we weren't sure where we were going!! We were thrilled to be going to the Bahamas...Even though we only had 2 port days....We took full advantage of the Ultimate Beverage Package that cruise!!

  7. Last October we were rerouted opposite, we were on the Dawn and had a very nice vacation in Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay instead of Bermuda due to Hurricane Gonzalo....Only downside for us was that we only had 2 port days....

  8. I personally love the Dawn. We got hooked on the Boston to Bermuda cruise. Did that three times, the third time we were re-routed to the Bahamas, thank you Hurricane Gonzalo...Took the Dawn out of NOLA this past January and loved the 4 stop itinerary. Taking the Dawn out of NOLA this November (lots of pressure, we now have 12 of us traveling to NOLA from Boston for this cruise). And have booked Boston to Bermuda again for October, 2016. For me I love the familiarity of the ship. I know where everything is and the crew has always been great. Have there been a few hiccups? Yes, but nothing to ruin my vacation.

  9. I knew this was the case as locals have been saying it won't be ready but as usual NCL's totally misinformed and always incorrect phone reps have told many is was scheduled for on-time completion.

Lol. I just call my PCC at NCL yesterday or the day before. I told him I was hearing grumblings that it wouldn't be ready on time, he assured me it would, lol
