  1. Im very curious to see how quickly they go .. If you do purchase the package , would you mind stopping back at the service counter on day 2/3 to see if they are all gone.... Or not , its vaca time ;)

I will try to find out, if I remember!!

  2. Good luck. Let us know how it works out. Not sure if mini-suites can use the pre-concierge, but if so, why not give them a call and see if you can purchase it prior to boarding.

I just called and I was told it cant be purchased before the cruise....My PCC suggested that we board early and purchase the package asap since there are only 40 packages offered to mini-suite and balcony guests. (we were planning on boarding early anyways....we live 1/2 hour from the cruiseport)...

Thanks for the info, I didnt know about this until today!! :)

  3. Thanks cause I really don't care if I have to wait outside cagneys for 10mins I'm on vacation so many people here need to get over there own self importance

But I have to say it's been fun reading the threads and eating popcorn

 LOL....On the cruises that we could enjoy Cagneys, we never had to wait, the dining room was never more than half full....

  4. On our last two cruises on the Dawn we stayed in a 2 BR, 2 Bath suite, the first time cause we were cruising with my dad (parkinsons and mild dementia) and we wanted the extra space....this past May we booked the same exact suite and the adjoining mini cause we were cruising with 5 young adults (17-20)....So we booked again for this coming October (2 cruises in one year )....Because its just 2 of us this time, I booked a mini gty (which turned out to be two cabins away from "our" suite, I just couldnt see putting out all that cash for a suite for the two of us....the closer we get to the cruise I was starting to 2nd guess myself because we were going to miss out on Cagneys breakfast and lunch...Then I saw this thread and  I am thrilled!! Hopefully it will still be offered on the Dawn in October!!

  5. Years ago, my friend's mom died on the Majesty on the way back to Boston from Bermuda. They did have a morgue on the ship where they kept her body.

A man that lives in my town (very popular sandwich shop owner) died two years ago on a cruise. He just told his wife he was tired, went back to the cabin to lie down and passed away in his sleep. He was around 55. Pretty sure his body was flown home from one of the ports.

So sorry to the family of the woman that died at Horseshoe Bay.

  6. I booked an MX on the Dawn in June and we were assigned a MB about a month later. I was hoping for the big leap to suite, but it didnt happen. I am happy with our mini suite. We were in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite on our last two cruise and this mini is only 2 doors away....

I check the prices now and then and the inside cabins are now $100 less than we paid for our MX.

  7. Great video, thank you for sharing, and congratulations on winning the contest.

We went on the Dawn (suite 11020) in May, 2013 and May, 2014....We saw your video before went and made it so exciting!! We all watched the video over and over again!!

We are cruising the Dawn in October, you dont happen to have any videos of mini suite, 11012? Just kidding!!

    Thank you.

  8. If you go to the Norwegian line roll calls, then click on the dawn, look for it by date. The person that originally set it up made a mistake and put I. Norwegia, they are having a meet and greet, it's up to you if you would like to do that.

  10. Yup, the fishing boat is right at the dock, across from Bonefish Bar. Did you book the day, or night fishing trip? The fishing is much better in the day. Have fun! Oh, and bring some cash, they have coolers with beer for sale! :D:D:D

I booked the day!! Will definately bring some cash for beer!! And maybe a tshirt...

    Thanks for the info!!

  11. I have a related question to your post. I had read some places that Cagney's is open for lunch on embarkation day. (One of those secrets about avoiding the buffet when first boarding) Are both a MDR and Cagney's open or just the MDR?

Cagneys is open for lunch for suite guests only.

  12. AEckhardt--Glad you are enjoying this review. Tom Moore's Jungle is fun. I would do a search here to read more about it, because I think we missed some with the kids, too. I've seen people refer to a beachy area and we didn't really see that, so I don't think we really walk into the jungle far enough!

In all my cruises, I have never heard of Tom Moore's Jungle!! I will have to check it out!

Your family is beautiful!! Look at all the kids in the Splash Academy!!!! I think there were 10 (at the most) in May!!

  13. Thank you. I really dont fish, but my boyfriend does. I thought it might make for a fun day, something we have never done in Bermuda (we are running out of things)....

I booked it on my own. I am hoping for a nice sunny fall day!!

Does the boat pick you up right at the dock?

    Thank you.

    Patty

  14. Our town doesn't start school before Labor Day so we used to cruise the last week of August. That way my daughter wouldnt have to miss school. There were still lots and lots of kids on board then. My daughter (21 now) is still friends with kids she has met on cruises. She went to a party with one of them last month. (Benefit of Boston to Bermuda, tons of local families). I am guessing there will be small handful of kids in Sept and October, too.
